We went on a Wittmann tour to Terezin on our last day in Prague, where we had come as an extension of an excellent Viking Danube River cruise. Our guide, Vida, reflected a wonderful blend of academic expertise and first hand knowledge, having lived both under Communist rule and under the current democratic regime. She was able to combine a... More

Wittmann was recommended to us by Rick (Steves), patron saint of our travels this trip and he did not lead us astray. After two weeks in Eastern Europe with museums with extremely limited signage (even in that country's native tongue) we were hoping for a walking tour that would provide us with more context than we would've been able to... This was thorough, thoughtful and the most helpful history of Jews in the Czech Republic. The guide was extremely well informed and told great stories and related the stories to himself and Prague so that we felt that we had a good understanding of being Jewish in Prague now and through the Centuries. I really appreciated the tour!!!!

I wanted to take a quality level tour of the Jewish Quarter and was contemplating a private tour. When the guide failed to respond twice I decided to do my due diligence and found this company. Am I glad the other guide blew me off! Martina the guide grew up in the area and became fascinated with the culture of... More

We wanted some information on the history of this area and decided to take a guided tour, think we picked the right one. Well paced, extremely informative on the area for a variety of time periods. Small enough group to feel personalized. Definitely recommend!

We did the Jewish highlights tour with Marketa and a tour of the city through "Jewish eyes" with Vida. Both tours were terrific. The guides shared their personal family histories and stories from WWII, communism and capitalism as well as providing history of the city and the country. Both guides also were very nice people with whom to spend a... More

Merek (may be Marak) was our 19 year old tour guide for the Jewish Prague Tour. He was amazing in his knowledge and insight.

You don't need to be Jewish to appreciate the history outlined in this tour. This 3 hour walking tour of the Jewish Quarter was very interesting. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Being with the tour allows you to skip the line-ups at the attractions. This is 3 hours of walking/standing and so is not suited to... More

We visited in August 2015 during the hottest days in years in Prague. Our guide for the 5 hour tour was Vida Neuwirthova. We did a tour of Prague focusing on all the main attractions and the Jewish quarter. I cannot tell you how much my family appreciated the incite, personal stories, history and knowledge of Vida. She was just... More

We took a 6 hour tour through Wittman tours with Helena Katzlingerova as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the atrocities at Terezin. As I understand it, Terezin functioned mostly as a holding site to which now Jews were shipped and then ultimately transported to the killing camps primarily in Poland. There are two "camps"at Terezin one... More
