This palace could easily be overlooked as you leave Prague Castle, but is a must see. The family history, and the related paintings, are worth the trip alone. But the highlight is the art and music collection. The Canaletto paintings of views of the Thames, a wonderful Breughel and Beethoven and Mozart annotated scores are world class. We found the... This was one of our favorite memories of Prague! If you are looking to see some of the castle, this is the spot. An awesome story, a beautiful place, and lots of history. I definitely wouldn't listen to every single number on the audio guide as you would be there forever, but the highlighted ones are plenty and it is... More

Stumbled across this by accident having come into the castle complex the back entrance. As the queues for the other castle buildings were extremely long, this one was nearly empty and with the free audio guide, helped to capture the story of the Lobkowicz family and their exile, The most amazing artefact was Beethoven's 5th symphony manuscript! This made every... More

Loved this place within Prague Castle. They have some great paintings and art, but the highlight is the classical music room. Just amazing to look at Beethoven's original, hand written, manuscript from his third, fourth, and fifth symphonies. They also have a hand written Mozart adaptation of Handal's Messiah. Very cool pieces to see.

A well-laid out exhibit with an audio guide tour that enhances the experience. All of the people on the guide are personally connected with the tour and you feel more interested because of it. Not encumbered by oversharing or overdosing you on history or information, the tour was well worth the time it takes to view both floors. The staff... More

I am not a big fan of museums but I liked this because the stories told in the audio tour made it interesting.

You will find the gallery with the audiotour very interesting through a historic view! Learned things about Beethoven and Mozart that I had no idea and also how connected the royalty in Europe was during many years.

This palace is understated, free of crowds and provides an excellent audio-guide. As you tour the museum, the commentary takes you through the past few hundred years of the ruling elite. We would also highly recommend the cafe for lunch - the food is good and the views from the terrace are superb.

Wonderful audio tapes taking you through the history of the Lobowicz family with great paintings and other artefacts. The highlight was the classical concert in the music hall. Well worth the joint visit to Palace and concert followed by lunch in the palace cafe overlooking central Prague - a great way to spend a few hours in Prague.
