We had the pleasure of visiting Lobkowicz Palace as a side tour on our Prague visit. The restoration was superb, given the damages caused by the Nazis and the Communists. During the tour we were treated to a fine luncheon in the palace. Well worth the visit.

We had lunch at the palace with Viking River Cruises, very nice and great views of the city below. They are building the reputation of this palace and have many interesting pieces of history and art

As part of our Viking tour we visited the palace. Included with the excursion was a lovely lunch followed by a brief concert performed by an amazing trio from Prague's national orchestra. Later we did a walk through the museum using an excellent audioguide. My favorite room was the music room which had on display many manuscripts from such musical... More

This is without question the finest museum in Prague. It houses one of the most important Old Masters in private hands--Haymaking by Breughel, Original musical manuscripts by Beethoven and Mozart, not to mention its arms collection, among many more things. I never use audio guides, but here that would be a mistake. The audio guide is very well done, succinct,... More

Was able to visit here one evening on a recent trip and highly impressed with the beauty of the building as well as the extensive and interesting art collection. Highly recommend a visit here but check daytime offerings as mid-day musical concerts are offered and leave time to fully enjoy the art collection.

Well restored, family owned smaller palace. The museum is interesting (narrated by its owner), the early afternoon concert...not so much...the cafe a bit overpriced, but the food is delicious (we had homemade tomato soup and a tuna melt that were super tasty). This palace and its owners have a great story to tell...It is worth your time.

The family history is loaded with the art of great masters and musical masterpieces. Prince William has intimate family stories, including loss of the Palace to Nazis and recent restitution to the family. You are able to gaze at the weaponry, tableware and personnal love letters. Mozart penned Handel's "Messiah" here. Its possible you can enjoy a lunch in the... More

My husband and I took a private tour of the Castle and our tour guide recommended we visit Lobkowicz Palace. She even gave us discount tickets. The next day we went online and ended up booking the midday classic concert and tour. Booking online gave us the discount so we didn’t use the tickets but if it were not for... More

Due to the Kismet of a choreographer friend who had relocated recently to Prague, we got a tour of this gorgeous edifice, and a feel for the plainclothes Prince and Princess.

I wish I had spent more time at the Lobkowicz's Palace instead of the Castle. Here you can really a rich path to understand the wonderfuly displayed collection as well as the historic periods involved. The guy at the entrance was REALLY nice. Audioguide turned out to be essential: well done and never boring. We spent an amazing 1.5 hour... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
