This is just the most beautiful building in Prague. It is like a very regal lady sitting on her throne viewing the country below. The view is breath taking and even with all the people it is a very serene place to visit

This is a great place to learn more about the Lobkowicz family, a prominent Bohemian family. When we were there, an entire floor of the Palace was closed due to a private event. We paid the regular entrance fee but we were given a voucher to use in the gift store to compensate. The Palace has some nice exhibits which... More

What made our visit to the Castle even more special was a classical music concert performed in the beautifully decorated 17th-century baroque concert hall. The intimate performance gave us greats from Bach and Vivaldi,Mozart and Beethoven, and Czech composers, Dvořák and Smetana. Incredibly moving.

I'll admit that after visiting Europe for several years I occasionally develop ABC (another bloody castle) syndrome, but I made it a point to visit Lobkowicz Palace based on the reviews on tripadvisor. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. The attraction is not just the castle itself, but the audiotour of the history of the family, which dates back several... More

After having been confiscated by the government, the Lobkowicz family was able to get the palace back. The owner had fled the country and settled in America. Mr. Lobkowicz gave his American retirement money to his son to work on reclaiming the property. He was successful. We heard the son tell the story while eating lunch inside the palace. Please... And a very interesting story told. Get the little self guided tour headset and take your time. Well worth checking out.

The back story of this building and collection is fascinating, especially since the audio tour is given by the actual family who owned/lost/regained/lost/regained their possessions. I am so glad that these priceless artifacts are back in the free world's hands, after being held hostage by the Nazis and the Communist Regime. Seeing the original scores of Mozart and Beethoven symphonies... More

It's worth taking one's time and listening to everything the audioguide has to say. The connections with various composeres are amazing.
