The history of how the Palace was taken over by the Nazis and then the Communists and how it was reclaimed was very interesting. The Beethoven scores and paintings particularly the Brueghel made for a very memorable and special visit.

The gardens are amazing, and so is the architecture. Beautiful views of Prague, specially in the afternoon. Very charming.

Great experience. Took the regular museum audio tour which was great, narrated by the family itself, but I also took the Prague inspires tour that served as an amazing introduction to the city from the balcony. It has the best view of Prague from the Castle. The 'inspires' tour is also very personable as it is narrated by the family,... More

Lobkowicz Palace is in the grounds of Prague Castle and consists of a museum, small concert hall where daily concerts are held and a cafe. This place was one of my favourite places in Prague. Though the palace is beautiful to wander around, the audio tour, combined with the background music is worth the money itself, not to mention some... More

We purely went by the high ratings but both of us were super impressed by the experience. The audio guide (a must) is narrated by the patriarch of the family and the stories are incredibly personalized. It's like you're a guest in the family house and get told what has happened. And that's a lot ! With over 6 centuries... More

Lobkowicz Palace was the highlight of our visit to Prague. Of the many places to go in Prague Castle, this was our favorite. We've recommended it to family and friends since and all have the same great experience. Arrive in the morning to explore the Palace with the audio tour, then have lunch or a snack and see the spectacular... More

Located in the Prague Castle complex, a museum and concert hall. The palace itself is very pretty, and the museum extensive, although very heavy on portraits which are not my favorite. The audio tour was very good. We made it to the castle and palace to catch the Midday Concert, which was just delightful. A piano, flute and viola trio... More

Step out of the chaos of the tourists and into the peaceful (and relatively empty) Lobkowicz Palace. The history of the Lobkowicz family is rich and fascinating. The proud yet humble narration is done by the current head of the Lobkowicz family. Whether you are interested in historic homes, a Beethoven sponsor, or local history, this tour has something for... I highly recommend visiting the Lobkowicz Palace. It is an unbelievable place for history and architecture lovers. We were offered a free guide at the entrance, so we were able to listen to the stories behind the exhibits, spoken by a member of the Lobkowicz family. It was one of my favorite museums in Prague and I would definitely return... More

What a delightful tour. My favorite was the original works by Beethoven that was a dedication to the family. Interesting history and well worth the visit. Make a trip to the bathroom as on the way there are many portraits of famous people who visited this castle or one of the others. I saw a afternoon concert tin the castle... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
