The audio tour was exceptional, a mixture of history complemented with modern day family perspective. If you are in a hurry, they highlight "do not miss items". Not only paintings but artifacts and extensive blue/white china collection. The staff was very friendly and their cafe has the best view. The warm breeze, music and meal was the perfect ending following... More

Enjoyed the time there. Great paintings and has a coffe shop and souvenir shop at the entrance. Great to spend some time in. Bought some great little dishes made in Praha.

We came across this by chance on our walk up to the castle. After wandering around the grounds of the castle and deciding that it was too crowded, we wandered back down the pathway to visit Lobkowicz Palace as we wanted to see the 2 Canaletto paintings of London (where we're from) and were amazed at our find -not just... As we finished touring the Golden Lane and were on the way to exit the castle area rain began and to take shelter we saw the Lobkowicz Palace. The audio device guided tour was a bit expensive but consistent with the rest of the Castle attractions and much better than the long walk in the rain so we began the... More

We took a tour of the Palace today and were pleasantly surprised by the intertwining of history and amazing treasures in the Palace (e.g., Beethoven's original manuscripts and his close relationship with the Lobkowicz family). It was an especially memorable event as a member of the family, William Lobkowicz, made a personal appearance to our tour group to speak about... More

The tour of Lobkowicz Palace is quite an eye opener as history unfolds before you. The paintings, firearms, and other artifacts tell a story that draws you in. If you have the time, take in the 1 hour concert which is relaxing and well worth it.

The museum was a little on the pricey side but consistent with the prices of other attractions. It does come with an audio tour guide which was great. It gave a lot of history about the family and the artifacts there. They have some great music items for those interested in mozart.

Enjoyed almost solitary time in this private castle viewing stunning collections with the assistance of a lovely audio-guide narrated by the actual family members. Highly recommend it. Other reviewers speak eloquently of various special collections, some the kind that give you the good kind of goose bumps. I was quite taken by a room of restored bird pictures that featured... After touring the castle and Cathedral, upon exiting, there is a private palace that has some wonderful paintings. The palace is privately owned and a separate charge is necessary, but worth it. The audio tour is by one of the heirs of the original owners, and he is rightly proud of the steps taken by the family to preserve the... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
