When I heard the words "jazz" and "cave" together I was already sold, but I wasn't expecting the house band to be anything special. But from the moment they started the energy and pure enthusiasm invigorated the room. The most exciting version of Norwegian Wood I have ever heard preceded Mission Impossible and then mixed into some original compositions by... More

Located in the very hart of the old town this jazz club is an excellent place to enjoy a wonderful night, good music, excellent service, very nice place and very affordable prices. I recommend it without any doubt, it was one of the best night not just in Prague but in all our trip to East Europe.

Definite place to visit in Prague is you enjoy jazz. The night we were there 'the agharta gang' were playing. They were brilliant!! The atmosphere was great. A very small room with a large ceiling almost like a cave. The tables were candlelit with a large stage at the front. The drinks from the bar were a very decent price.... More

We went to Agharta to hear the Robert Balzar Trio. They were great and the acoustics were fantastic. This little venue holds 80 or so people and is a great place to have a beer, chill and listen to some good live music. I would suggest checking the schedule and making reservations. Make sure to get there before 9. We... More

Blue Note, Birdland, Iridium...........Agharta is right there with the great jazz clubs, real jazz none of the I IV V blues players so often mislabeled as jazz. Great virtuoso players, complex yet melodic lines, great improvisational, all you expect from a night of straight ahead jazz. Real artists. Do not miss this great jazz club in a great jazz city!!!

You decend into a cellar to find yourself faced with a lively bar and truly unique and acoustically friendly arched roof stage area. I am no critique, but the band ThumbScrew was playing and they were very impressive artists. No one was talking, the whole room was focused on the three musicians. Not a bad seat in the house. Never... More

If you feel lost among the jazz clubs options, then choose Agharta. Very nice atmosphere and great music. The staff was nice, too. They charged us only one entrance ticket for two persons because we arrived towards the end of the concert.

I was recommend to try a jazz bar while i was in prague, picked this one and i was not disappointed at all. Entering this place is a bit of having to walk down an alleyway following a red carpet but when your in there well worth it. Extremely intermit, with great acoustics. Really friendly staff with waiter service for... More

This was a fantastic nights entertainment. The setting was perfect - a small cavern style setting with small bistro tables dotted around the room. It was a very relaxed environment, where you could chat, drink and eat whilst listening to an extremely talented jazz band. You can purchase drinks, variety of nibbles and there is waitress service. A fantastic night... More
