This was a fantastic nights entertainment. The setting was perfect - a small cavern style setting with small bistro tables dotted around the room. It was a very relaxed environment, where you could chat, drink and eat whilst listening to an extremely talented jazz band. You can purchase drinks, variety of nibbles and there is waitress service. A fantastic night... More

Went there tonight at 11:30pm. It was advertised that they were open until 1:00am. Upon arrival the manager asked for 250kc for the entrance fee and said they were open until 1:00am...gladly paid. Ordered a few beers...at the time the staff was friendly. The band was very good. Midnight hits and the band stops playing and everyone left. The manager... More

Situated in a cave setting,, Agharta never disappoints. I've attended several concerts here every one was outstanding. The musicians are top notch. The setting is intimate which I prefer over large venues. One can "feel" the music and see the performers in action. This is a place I go to hear music. It fills up quickly so I advise making... Outstanding evening with an excellent Czech band. Just music no vocals but excellent instrumentalists especially the sax and the drummer. Bass, lead guitar and piano a close second. Intimate evening - pure Jazz venue in a cave. A wonderful mid-week evening of entertainment. Suggest you book in busy periods of the year. A truly memorable evening. Dekjui Helen, Emily and... More

We found this place by accident and immediately wanted to go in. We had to pay a small entrance fee for the band (live music every night after 21h) and we chose a table in the front, we really enjoyed the band, there were breaks in between the sets so you could have a conversation and there was a broad... We chose this venue by chance and enjoyed what turned out to be our favourite experience in Prague. We didn't have reservations, but would recommend it as the venue is quite small - an atmospheric cave-like basement. We arrived early enough to get seats for the best jazzman in the Czech Republic - Jiri Stivin and his jazz quartet. We... More

I booked tix online for a Czech jazz band. Got great seats in this basement that is more like a grotto. Excellent music, great vibe, intimate setting and 100% oriented to the music. Really convenient to Old Town restaurants and hotels. Jazz fans should build at least 1 night around this place.

And Agha has that swing! We enjoyed a night of jazz there in the historic old basement that really carries the acoustics. We also knocked back a giant glass of Pilsner Urguell beer plus some very tasty meat dishes. Great music venue and will definitely return.

Just off the square this place is downstairs and hidden away from the crowded Old Town streets. Very unique and one of a kind feel to it. Very inexpensive wine list and great music. If you have any interest in jazz, I would highly recommend it. Didn't like the cover charge since I'm not a big jazz fan, but that... More

Just steps away from Old Town Square, getting down a basement of a building, there is a golden gem named agharta. Even if it's a rather small club, it has a great atmosphere and really worth just to get down and check it. The day I was there, there is an entrance fee of 250 CHF and the visiting group... More
