Prague is one of the jazz capital and Agharta is the most famous jazz club at Prague. very very near to astronomic clock tower so it's at middle of the city. very easy to find. Don't afraid it's not expensive for a club at city center. You can enter the club with only pay 250 Czk (10 €) and you... More

As a couple of jazz lovers, not experts, we like to try to see some whenever we go somewhere new. This club in a 14th century basement, just of Old Town square is wonderful. We arrived 15 minutes into to the performance but still were able to get seats. The band playing, Rhythm Desperados , were excellent and generated one... More

Being a jazz fan, I have quite a few recordings made in this little jazz bar., and always wanted to drop in to sample the vibe. I was not disappointed. Its a really central location, a minutes walk from the old town square, and tucked down in what looks like an old wine or beer cellar. With that , the... More

We arrived late to the jazz show but were given amazing service in finding a place to sit where we could see the jazz band being amazing. They played a great variety but when they started with Frankie Vallis "Can't take my eyes off of you" we were blown away. Everyone in the house band gave their best to give... More

Just off the Old Square, down a couple flights of stairs and into a cool cellar. Pleasant staff accepted iPhone photo proof of online booking. Just over a fiver each. Reasonable drink prices. Watched local quintet, Hot Line. Very professional, smooth grooves. Three hours of delightful music.

I went for a jazz show last Saturday night. The place is absolutely stunning and very intimate. The music band I saw was high quality. Book in advance online to choose your seats, but the place is so small that any place is good. I highly recommend !!! :)

I went here after a wonderful meal to see a Czech jazz band. I forget the name but I ended up purchasing a CD. We sat right at the front with our own table for 2 and the table service was great. Entry was a little pricey but it was totally worth it.

This is a lovely venue to spend your early evening. The band we saw were very skilled and the crowd was just the right balance of appreciative (clapping or shouting when appropriate) and quietly contemplative. Drinks and snacks were reasonably priced, and the waitress staff were friendly too. Great little jazz club!

It is downstairs in a cave-like basement with very good acoustics. $10 cover is well worth it, particularly since the drinks are so inexpensive. The AghaRTA Gang, a quartet - keyboard, bass, drums and horn - were playing good old modern jazz tunes. We stayed for three sets, and each musician was extremely talented. Great jazz, and a nice vacation... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
