For me this is a place of peace and calm in Prague. It is located close to Prague ZOO and Troja castle and for not high admission you can enjoy the peaceful stay in nature for as long as you wish (until 8pm). You will find hidden places in the forest or meadow to sunbath, lovely flowers, stunning views on... More

The open areas where nice, but really nothing special. Almost no unusual plants and a rather boring park design. But when I went to the green house it became even worse. A rain forest with fake animal sounds and really nothing you don't see anywhere else. If you are interested in plants visit the university botanical garden in town.

Was going for just a quick visit after exhausting day at the zoo with the Traja card (recommended), but it turned into hours more walking and taking photographs and chilling and listening to a string quarter - could easily spend a full day here with a good book!

Interesting are also the special exhibitions in the big green house. They are not as nearly as impressive as the Botanical gardens in London in Singapore, but considering how old the garden is you must give it some credit.

If you like flowers, gardens, and nature and serenity in the city make the trip here. An easy bus ride and metro OR the best kept secret of Prague take the boat ride for $10, 190 Czech kr, a seventy minute cruise down the vlatava and through the locks. Once there don't miss Vinoteka Klara - on site winery from... More

The gardens are small in size and access is reasonably easy. Unless combined with a visit to the zoo, it is long journey however. The large glasshouse is probably the best feature, mostly tropical but with a smaller desert section. We visited at the end of the Butterfly season, when a good variety of tropical butterfles and moths were free... More

Once upon a time... We decided to visit Botanical garden after trip to ZOO. What a mistake!!! Garden was full of dogs, some people didnt clean that and. Yeah, we stepped in that. But we were not alone :) I think this area is interesting for people from Bohnice (part of Prague, nearby). But for a trip, and paid trip?... More

A well laid out garden on the side of a hill in the middle of a town. Not much in English but plants were labelled well with their Latin names. I liked this garden, it had a display of geological specimens about 600mm cubes. These did have English explanations of the complex geology of the area.
