A well laid out garden on the side of a hill in the middle of a town. Not much in English but plants were labelled well with their Latin names. I liked this garden, it had a display of geological specimens about 600mm cubes. These did have English explanations of the complex geology of the area.

It's winter, it's not the best of time to be out in the open but i have a free time to walk and whatta better way to spend it. The weather is slightly mind, i had a sandwich, macaroon and coffee flask. I have not been here for some time and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Watch this space; i am... More

We were there in the winter, so there was not so much to see. But it is free from november to march or so. Botanical gardens gives you good views to Troja chateau and the Prague castle. The greenhouse is closed in this time, so still I think it is better to do it in summer. Nice, but not a... More

So we had to take a tram and a bus to get there. it was a little confusing figuring the metro out but it was worth checking. It is really like a two part place with large gardens outside and also a indoor green house area to explore. The outdoor and indoor gardens are separated so it takes a bit... More

The botanical gardens is a nice place to spend the afternoon with your kids, specially if it's sunny. The environment is very peaceful and has a big area to explore.

This is a must see! The spectrum of plants is outstanding. There is a place to grab a bite overlooking the vineyard. This is a half day adventure. The views from the gardens are stunning. A great place to visit if you are exhausted by the tourist center.

beautiful place. So nice and quiet. The best time to come here when everything is blooming. If you are fan of the nature it will be nice option for you especially after couple days in crowded Prague

Went mid morning on a Sunday and had the place almost to ourselves. Really enjoyed the greenhouses, especially the cactus collection. Outside is average for botanical gardens but something unique was the geo rock collection set up by the university. For a change of pace from all the buildings it was worth the visit.
