building is so powerful, pictures inside gives you very strong feeling of belonging to this Nation, it was just a shame that performance was - say - mediocre - almost amateurich

I couldn't go in because it was closed, but the building from outside looks really impressive and the architecture is gorgeous.

This is a fair venue for sure, but the nearby State Opera in the Mustek District has better acoustics and is more renown. If you've visited other concert halls like the Met in New York or the State Opera in Vienna, this is mediocre compared to its counterparts. Have a look inside, but save the opera for another venue.

Better seen from Charles Bridge and Hradcany than from the street but still great. A spot of gold in the city - we just regret we couldn't take decent pictures because it is kind of suffocated by other buildings and there's a lot of traffic around it.

We went to see Rusalka. A wonderful opera in a beautiful building. The inside is gorgeous and a delight to the eye.

We went to see a production of Falstaff. My wife's the opera lover in the family but the production was entrancing and the use of surtitles helped enormously. Do go. very best seats were only £30.

This is a beautiful theatre where we enjoyed the opera Carmen from Bizet. The combination of the decoration and layout of the theatre with a high quality opera is outstanding. Worthwhile to visit for a concert of which there are many during December.

I went to see a play here, more to experience the space than for the play. Got to say it is a beautiful space. However I was sitting in the 4th seat in a box, a very poor view, and as it is a stool not the cost comfortable I've ever been. All in all I would say go, just... More

Excellent production of Dvorak's Rusalka (have seen quite a few in my time); could not get a box for the price in the UK. 11 year old granddaughter loved it. Was told off (nicely) for taking a drink to the box. Great experience!
