We went there to see an opera by the Czeck composer Smetana. The bildin is impressive inside and out and we could understand the plot with the help of the translation that ran above the scene. We had a good time there and the gassed Chardonnay helped also...

This building is breathtaking! I love the way the sun hits the beautiful rooftop and sparkles. The golden roof with the beautiful statues! A must see in this city! Along the entire street that is next to the museum are some wonderful cafes to visit as well, so worth the trip!

Went to see Carmen in our own box. Theater is lovely as is the seating, although some in the normal seats seemed very hot. Reasonable prices and drinks throughout. Carmen was majical.

We have a tradition of seeing a Czech opera at Narodni divadlo every trip. We've seen three and have enjoyed them all. The opera productions better than any I can attend in the USA. Last time, we got a box and loved the kitsch of it. It was good for 3, but the fourth seat (less expensive) left a bit... More

Yep! Cool historical building and interiors, but the main thing you go there to look at is ballet, which really sucks. Such a low level. I cryied from laughing while whatching their Nutcracker during Christmas season. Ridiculous! Unprofessional. Amateur level ballet group.

I booked Laterne Magica, Graffiti , during our Prague trip as a birthday present for my mother-in-law. She wanted to see the typical black light theater. According to most of the info she read in the guide book, my mother-in-law convinced me it should be Laterne Magica. So here we were at the New Stage. We were surprised at first... More

We saw Wonderful circus at Nova Scena. Can't say that I would like to see it again, but for once you could do it.

I saw a new production of Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen. Truly stunning, especially the costume designed by Kateřina Štefková.

Booked to see a play in Czech just to experience this lovely theatre and enjoyed sitting in a box (loze) that only cost £16, which I booked through their website before my holiday. We read a summary of the play beforehand, so had a rough idea of what was going on! It was fun, even though we didn't understand the... More

It means golden Chapel of Czech traditional performing arts. Built using the simple collection of unpretentious Bohemians in the late 19th century. Really nice building and wisit it is really nice spending time.
