We saw The Marriage of Figaro here, and the hall was lovely and the performance excellent. I wish we had known before of the history of the theater. As noted in other reviews, this is the last remaining hall where Mozart conducted. Don Giovanni debuted here and Marriage of Figaro performed here to a good reception after being dismissed elsewhere.... More

We spent a couple weeks in Vienna, Salzburrg, Budapest and Prague, and saw/toured several classical music venues, but am only writing up a review for this theatre as it was most excellent. We were lucky to catch an hour long show of Mozart...kind of a greatest hits with a tenor, soprano and three piece woodwind. The music was good (to... More

I was amazed that this place even existed as a theatre and not a museum given it is the last building in the world that Mozart himself conducted and performed inside. I went to see Don Giovani there in September 2014 and was blown away by both the production (which coincidentally was first premiered in the same venue under Mozart's... More

We celebrated Christmas in Praha and had the privilege to see the traditional Czech Chorea Bohemica at the Estates Theater. The performance was fabulous - but our seats were not. If you're purchasing tickets at this theater, avoid Gallerie I and II. These are literally so high in the theater that you have to crane your neck over to see... More

Being an opera fan, I try to catch an opera in every city that I go to. Especially in Europe where almost every city has a theater playing an opera. I was delighted to find out that the Estates theater, was the actual theater that premiered Mozart's Don Giovanni. I bought tickets for Cosi Fan Tutte, and for European prices,... More

W.A. Mozart loved Prague and the citizens of Prague loved him. It has been much written about. Mozart wrote the opera Don Giovanni to premiere in Prague in this theater. The Estates' Theater is in a beautiful building and is smaller then the other two Opera houses in Prague, but equally beautiful inside. I would try to see an opera... More

Going to the Estates Theater costs around 15€ for plays(in czech unfortunatelly) to have the very best seats and no more than 50€ for the very best seats for opera(mostly in italian with czech/english subtitles). And going there is really worth it. It is a theater that housed Mozart's most famous operas. And it is more beautiful than Vienna's opera... More

This theater was designed by A.Haffenecker. It is suitable for both drama and opera. In 1787 the world premiere of opera Don Giovanni by W.A.Mozart was realized here.

We ended our free walking tour at the Estates Theatre and saw well dressed people walking in. It was unbelievable, there was a performance of DG in 10 mins. Wow what can i say, such a great theatre (our guide said, the only one left in the world where Mozart actually performed). The performance was great too - not too... More
