I went there to watch the Don giovanni opera while i was on my holidays in prague.. I booked the ticket before online on a czech website. Arriving there, it took almost 20min just to collect the ticket fro mthe box office, which was outside the theater for some reason, looked very amateur, but ok, outside, the theater looked pretty... We went to this at my wife's insistence. The opera house is beautiful and we got good seats, as it was only partially full. Buy the English guide also as it will guide you through the plot (which is in Italian) so that you know what is going on. It is special to see this performed in the spot where... More

The best musical experience in Prague. The original theatre where the premiere performance of the opera was staged in 1787. The production is faithful to the original version. If you do not speak Italian then read the libretto in your language first because they didn't have projected surtitles in 1787 !

Great performance! Don Giovanni received its first performance anywhere here, conducted by Mozart!!!Fine singers and orchestra delighted us with a recreation of this piece as it was performed in Mozart's time. Fabulous Baroque theater restored to perfection.

My husband and I saw Don Giovanni here on a Friday night. It was a great performance, and the tickets were incredibly well priced. The theater itself was beautiful, and the show was innovative and memorable. Going to the opera is definitely not something that we normally do, but we really enjoyed ourselves and had a great night. We purchased... More

good singers, and a non traditional production. interesting acenic design but too much park and bark singing in the production. Some singers needed more attention to acting.

We went to an early evening music concert rather than an entire opera, or another performance. This one was the "Best of Mozart". We learned from our free walking tour this was where Mozart debuted his famous opera "Don Giovanni". Inside is beautiful, there is also a little display room filled with how Don Giovanni came to be. The performance... More

was the first opera visit for me but a very good experience at a historical theatre. once you are in its a awesome sight... with huge balconies overlooking the orchestra and stage. we got the back row tickets but it did not diminish the experience. the total duration was 3 hrs which we thought would be too long, but it...
