Such an iconic building, but difficult to find the way in initially. The exterior views are fantastic day and night. But the inside is well worth the visit. No photography is allowed and you are expected to remove head wear. It is really beautiful inside + you can see the remains of the paint from centuries ago - it must... More

In this cathedral there is the famous astrologer and astronomer Tycho de Brahe buried. To reach the cathedral you have to go trough a house built in front of the cathedral

I've been in Prague way too many times to count. Yet every time I come to the Old Town Square and I spot this temple, I have to stop for few minutes and just stare at it. Beautiful architecture, looks almost "out of place", how big and glorious it is. A must see and must take picture in Prague.

Centrally located church which can be viewedjust off Old town square. Exterior is excellent especially when lit up at night. However, do go in as the interior is spectacular too. No fee but donations appreciated. It is a functioning church so check for available open times when no services are being conducted. Photography inside was not allowed so soak up... More

Visiting this church was a very personal experience for me - my mother had been aware of this church and was always mentioning it to me. When I went to Prague, I knew I had to visit it-- for her. The moment I climbed the steps that lead up to the church, it started snowing. It was the only moment... More

This was the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Its Gothic facade possesses a magical persona, while its interior is gorgeously ornate. Tyn Church is located on the southeastern corner of Old Town Square, across from the Astronomical Clock on the southwestern corner. The entrance is located on the side, but don't bother going inside if you're short on time.... More

This Gothic church has spectacular 80m high twin towers and can be seen from miles around, and according to our guide on an earlier walking tour, gave Walt Disney the idea of his fairy castle! The exterior also looks magnificent at night as all the windows are lit by orange lights, making it definitely look like a fairy tale castle... More

The architecture is definitely worth a shot. It is unfortunate though, that the entrance is not as magnificent as what other churches might have. It is even harder to find, I have to circle the block for 1 round and still couldn't find it. Go up the Astronomical Tower to get a great view.

Really a fascinating church! It appears so dark and gothic...and yet beautiful all at the same time. Take a few minutes to note all of the features that make it such an incredible church.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
