Impressive from outside

Looks great from the old town square. Pretty nice inside too. Didn't get to see much inside though, as a mass just started when we got there.

We see the spires from our hotel window and when strolling Old Town and really wanted to enjoy the interior, as well. Alas, the church is "closed for the season" and will not reopen until March. So sad!

The Church is fantastice but it is not always open (often in the mroning). Get the information before your go and wathv out for the hidden passage to enter. On top of this, do not change your money in the office facing the Clock. They claim that they take 0% commission but it is tricky ! Instead of changing for... More

The stunning spires are a wonderful sight and especially well seen from the City Hall Clock Tower. The interior is simple -- no stained glass or great art -- and can be toured in a matter of 10-15 minutes.

This church is more beautiful from the outside! You have to walk through some cafes to find the entrance, they expect a donation when you enter and they do not allow you to take photos (though they do sell postcards). If you are looking for a really spectacular church in Prague, go to St Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle, it... More

This Church is a landmark across Prague and I find its architecture quite beautiful. It's also lovely when the bells ring out which they seem to do at mid-day. Opening times are quite restrictive but it's well worth getting inside as it is quite amazing.

I visited this church in December 2015. It is located near Old Town Square. If you stand near the Astronomical Clock you can get a good photo of the church before going in by walking across the square and passing through an alleyway near one of the restaurants. There is no entrance fee but a recommended donation of 30 Czech... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
