Located in the Old Town a very historic and, attractive church from old times. It gives the Old Town a different imagination as a natural part of it. The best view can be obtained from the tower close to the Astronomical Clock...

Somehow the entrance is polluted by restaurants and other commercial enterprises, but the church itself is very nice. If you're in the town square, you should visit it.

If you only do one tour in Prague, do a tour of the castle. You will be elivated to a different world. Pretty buildings with lots of history attached to them and amazing views.

This is a lovely building, both inside and out. Though it has to be admitted that the entrance is, to say the least, hard to find. Well worth the effort, though.

If you don't have time enough this is the place to go. Incredible architecture inside and outside and even better illumination at night. Tip: don't hesitate to get a tour guide. The history of this place is unbelievable!

This is a very beautiful structure. I would recommend viewing it at night. It looks very much like the Disney castle and the way it is lit-up makes it seem almost unreal.

The church is pretty enough during the day but at night it is lit up and looks like a fairy castle. The hours that it is open are few, but it is free to go in and look around. You have to go between the restaurants in front to get in. I thought this was a beautiful church.

What a fantastic church. It's towers can be seen towering over the Old Town Square but the entrance is via a narrow street between two buildings leading from the main square close to the Ventana Hotel. An amazing interior not to be missed. It is the resting place of Tycho Brahe the Astrologer and Astronomer. So appropriate to be buried... More

The outside of this Church is part of any panorama of Prague but the inside is well worth a visit. Hard to find the entrance and seems to have no consistent opening times but we were lucky on a Sunday morning in March. The interior has to be seen to be appreciated, it's essentially a series of internal chapels as... More

Such a beautiful and iconic church and since it is free to enter, you cannot miss it! It is a bit difficult to find the entrance (its down a side street) but don't let that deter you. You cannot take pictures inside which is disappointing because the outside of the church is so difficult to photograph because it is obscured... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
