More impressive from the outside. not as impressive inside as some of its neighbours . For impressive external looks you can't get much better than this! Its spires tower above the buildings which obscure its lower structure but from every angle you can't miss it. Its beautiful lit up against the night sky.

This church actually replaces an older building from the 11th century. The present 14th century church has the most amazing spires that are visible from many vantage points all over Prague. While the entrance can be a bit daunting to locate (tucked in a small arcade near the front of the church). it is well worth the trouble to visit.... More

It is almost impossible to find the entrance to this church, which is surprising, as it dominates the skyline of the old town. The church dates back to the mid 1300's and has a Gothic look to match. While the church is beautiful on the outside, upon entering it, we were really disappointed as it was poorly lit and looked... More

Beautiful gothic structure. A nice escape from the crowds of the Old Town Square. Definitely take a look.

The main entrance to the church seems temporarily closed; there's a paper sign with an arrow pointing to the right. Where do you enter? We went twice on 2 separate days and almost didn't find the way in. There are 2 ways to enter the church: through the bookstore near the main entrance (left side of complex) or through an... More

Had planned on seeing the inside, as the outside is spectacular, but it was closed! According to the guidebook we had, it should have been open; it was a Tuesday, no reason to be closed. So didn't

The exterior is incredible but the interior was nothing special. There's a suggested donation to enter, which you pretty much have to pay. Also you can't take pictures. However the exterior is just INCREDIBLE.

Ceratainly, it is one of most remarkable architectural points in Prague and on this square. For me it quite unusual - sharp black broaches above ochre-colored towers. This church is nice not only outside - inside is also beautiful and solemn. I think the best view is in the sunset.

Church of Virgin Mary Before Tyn, with towers topped by lovely small spires, is an imposing and beautiul building, a landmark in the Old Town Square of Prague. The main door is hidden behind other constructions and you must pay attention to find the narrow passage between the houses in front of the church. The entrance is free, but the... More
