But if you do queue up and get a ticket there is much more to do! There is plenty so see walking around and you can get in the door of the Cathedral and see how big it is. The Castle District has old churches palaces and the servant quarters great views out over the city and lots and lots... More

We are not generally into churches but the buildings are just stunning especially set off against a brilliant blue background. We took advantage of a free walking tour which ended at the Castle complex. Lennon wall is close, beautiful buildings, quite steep but ok if taken slowly. Castle complex impressive and you can watch the changing of the guards. Finishing at... More

You can't see this area in one short visit. You have to return 3 or more times to take it all in and to appreciate it.

There are several uphill or up steps walks to the castle. If you are there for 1200 (be there early as it gets crowded and you need to get to the front of the crowd!), musicians stand in windows whilst the changing of the guard happens. Then wander about the castle area - lots to see and do, museums, beautiful... More

Growing up in Prague, coming by the Castle from the Petrin Hill or up the hill negotiating the steep Castle steps or better yet up the Nerudova street was something we did often. In the past twenty years, when we could finally return and visit Prague again, we never miss the opportunity to climb the hill up to the castle.... More

Absolutely beautiful and well maintained area. As with the rest of the Prague, the only thing to say is that go see during the week. In weekend to crowded.
