When U are in Prague you need to go there, is really amazing. You'll enjoying climbing through the street which leeds you there. And when you will finally reach the point you planned you will admire the beautiful compleks of palaces, and the view for whole city. We spend there almost whole day. And we were totally satisfied. Most of the tour groups, hawkers and associated tourist industry paraphernalia are all here during the day, but after 18:00 it's all free of charge and large crowds and you can stroll through the far less crowded cobbled streets, alleys and squares of the Castle District and enjoy spectacular views (especially at sunset) over the city below. It's then much... More

We went on a guided tour, wanted to have more time to explore the interior of the castle and just stroll around. Beautiful.

It's a castle. Actually it's more of a medieval district. If you travel a lot to Europe you may have seen many places like this (only the Czech one is much larger). If you are in Prague - go visit this place, but don't give it more than a couple of hours. We didn't like the fact that almost every... More

Pretty large so wear good footwear. I just love the gardens, the castle area gets really crowded in summer so if you can,go in the morning or off season.

This complex of palace, cathedral, church, shops and even a prison is full of a long and rich history dating back centuries. The views are spectacular, looking down at the river and the old city. What I can't understand is why, with this amazing heritage, they have allowed a Starbucks to be the first thing that greets you as you... More

such a lovely place to just relax and people watch. Could get there easily by tram. I visited the Carmelite Church of Our Lady Victorious to see the Infant de Prague and had a look around the museum there.

You have to see it and feel it. The most important place in the Central Europe, medieval capital of the world.

Try to go when it's not too crowded. There are a lot of uneven cobblestones so ditch the pretty shoes and wear some sensible, comfortable walking shoes. The history of the area is amazing as are the views and the stories. The monastery is still functional although there are fewer than two dozen monks still there. The castle area has... More

This is a must see if you are in Prague and you should make time for the castle, the beautiful church and spend some time in the gardens. Recommend early in the day before all the tourists.
