Well I'm sure no one is going to go to Prague and miss out this area. Get your ticket and take in everything you can. Get up there early before the crowds and I mean early and I do mean crowds. Some nice views across the city. The atmosphere was wonderful early morning. St Vitus Cathedral is a beauty with... More

A beautiful castle that takes your breath away when you first set eyes upon it. The church of St Vitrius (think i’ve spelled that correctly) is mind blowing

Lots to see here. The castle district is free but then the individual sites have charges for which you buy a group ticket. One of the 3 must-do/see places in Prague.

Wear walking shoes is my biggest tip! When walking round the castle DONT buy a ticket to walk inside the church - you can go inside without a ticket, you can take pictures and enjoy the place but you can't walk down the nave end - big deal - save yourself a few bob! It's very hilly but this will... More

This venue is a must for any visitor to Prague. Best and cheapest way to visit is to take the Metro to HRADCANSKY STATION. Follow the signs on a short walk to the beautiful castle gardens. Stroll through these spectacular gardens to the back entrance to the castle. Once inside, if you see a flag atop the building, it means... More

We bought a ticket covering the 8 main "attractions" within the Castle District. Each building or set of buildings has amazing history. There are jewels, and wonderful medieval rooms. The art gallery had a very interesting collection of paintings. While a pain to go in and out of (crowded and tiny), the Golden Lane offers a glimpse into the workers... More

Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. St Nichols church is worth visiting. Be careful when crossing the roads, the trams are very fast and the roads are very busy.

Be prepared to walk upwards for a long time to get to the castle. Otherwise, lots of souvenir shops and different palaces near the Prague castle area. Of course, you should visit the castle if you are here. I liked the cathedral the most.

Ranking 3rd or 4th on my personal Prague's Sightseeing List, the Castle is a nice place for inhaling better quality air, taking pictures and resting/calming yourself. It offers nice views, 1 naked statue, where many girls will take a picture of themselves (hehehe) with a big smile, a museum and a nice cafeteria that can provide you with some nice... More

Panoramic views of the city can be seem from the castle area. You can spend a whole day going through all of the different buildings of the complex. Very interesting.
