I visited the Prague Zoo on a bit of a whim and am VERY happy that I did. The zoo has a great layout (built on a hill), so many of the animals get to live in a semi-realistic environment. Don't miss the Prezewalski's Horses!

The best zoo I've ever been to. Amazing place to walk around, fantastic enclosures and well looked after animals. The birds of prey enclosure was brilliant. It is hilly, so be warned if you find walking tough.

The zoo was fantastic! Lots of variety in the types of animals, and the majority of them had lovely big enclosures that all looked well cared for. It was on a very big hill, so be prepared for alot of walking, although there is a cable car up to the top. Lots of nice places to stop and rest/ get... More

This zoo is a little nicer than what you might even expect in Prague. It's a ton of walking, but there's a lot to see. A large selection of birds, which might surprise you, and they've also been heavily advertising the giant chinese salamanders they've got (spoiler: they tend to sit in their pools and face the wall under moving... The zoo is very easy to locate from all areas of Prague using the metro and a bus which takes you directly there. It's a very cheap place to view so many animals. Definitely not just a place for children as it's fabulous and full of fun. There are a large variety of animals - including some unusual ones!! The... More

It is placed perfectly. Close to the center. Down by the river. And with a lot of space to show the animals I great surroundings. You can walk there through a nice park. Opposite zoo you find a fantastic and beautiful small Castle.

It was amazing place for both families and children. You do not have to pay money for the children who are under 3 years old. Huge. Not only ordinary animals are exist but also tropical and polar spicies you can see. There are restaurants, coffee machines and vending machines in the zoo. At the same time children play areas.I will... More

We took the tram and the free bus to get here and i don't regret it for one second. First question was were is al the animals? Lots of empty cages. But finally we saw some monkeys, tigers and birds. The prauge zoo has an geologically interesting part because it's placed at a fault and you can actually see it
