As with nearly all such attrzctions, either join a tour or rent an audio tour. You will enjoy the experience and learn so much more. If you are a photo enthusiast, buy the license permitting photos. It is inexpensive and provides all the souvenirs of my trip. The castle, cathedral, Rosenberg palace, golden stretch all are beautrful. The historical context... More

I didn't go inside due to the massive amounts of tourists, but the views outside were splendid enough. Definitely worth the climb.

A must 'see' on your to do list. Reasonable price to enter, and well worth the money. totally awesome! Big mistake though not to hire a guide. A guide, or audio is a must for most of the buildings in Prague.

Gorgeous interior. You can get in for free but you can't walk around the whole place without a ticket. Worth it!!

Beautiful inside and out. Luckily once tour groups get in and out the line to go inside moves quickly. No photos were allowed to be taken inside though.

This building is absolutely stunning, a must-see. However, the audio tour is dreadfully factual and bland--near unbearable. It makes for a visit that ends up being a bit of a let-down. Unforgettable architectural achievement regardless.

Well what an incredible building. We walked around the outside of this beautiful Cathedral in awe of it. The detail on all of it is really amazing. This is a must see building in the city. I could have walked around it for hours!

Cathedral reminded me Barcelona's Sagrada Familia, but it it would stand up on it own to any other cathedral in the world and is a must visit place when in Prague.

This Cathedral is absolutely stunning. The sun shinning through the stain glass was truly amazing! I have not seen the colors nor how they were pieced before in other works of art. By paying extra to save the nave and other areas was well worth it. We truly have to say Thank You to the artisans that spent time and... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
