You will climb a serious flight of stairs to get up to St.Vitus but it is worth every step. The stained glass indoors is alone worth the visit. This architecture is simply amazing. It is located in the centre of Prague Castle and there is a line however, it is worth a trip in even if you do not have... More

Incredible architecture and windows that create a true Holy place, as part of the Prague Castle complex. The Ste. Wineslas Chapel and tomb is especially beautiful.

Be careful - 287 steps you should do before you reach the top of the St. Vitus cathedral tower. But it's the highest point where from Prague is like the toy

This Gothic Cathedral is stunning with several beautiful stained glass windows, including one designed by Alphonse Mucha. While it was crowded when we visited, the queue moved quickly and you were able to see everything. The Cathedral itself is reminiscent of Amiens Cathedral with its vaulted ceilings and long center aisle.

We visited Prague during Christmas. This is a beautiful place, where you should visit. It does get very busy with big tour groups in the afternoon. Husband and I arrived at the Palace on a Tram, which we caught the tram at Malostranská number 22 and we got off at Pražský hrad. Once we arrived we purchased the full package... More

Again we walked to this - from the Old Town and I recommend this is the best way as there is so much to see. As usual it is far too busy and you need to take some time to really appreciate the work that has gone into this structure as it is magnificant. Don't miss it!

This cathedral is absolutely worth visiting. You can buy a combi ticket for Prazsky Hrad, this place is included into the cheapest version (250 CZK). Enjoy thousands of details, look high into the ceiling.

We walked from Old Town Sq. to St. Vitus and Petrin Tower. St. Vitus is worth visiting. Beautiful gothic structure, rose window and the light in the interior is amazing. One of the highlights of our Visit to Prague.

Beautiful cathedral. Definitely worth the visit. I hope they start cleaning the interior and exterior, because it's very dark inside and out.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
