There are many options of tickets to tour the grounds. You don't need to buy them all. Just get one that gets you the full access to the cathedral and one or two others at most. There is a great cafe just outside the gates by the vineyard!

Its nice and clean but the size is not competable with Notra Dame , and there is simply not enough historic signs an explanation to compite what a shame because it could have been much better if the chuch had been better presented as The soroundings are very beutiful

Right this cathedral is beautiful to look at but I can't help the feeling I have seen something similar loads of times before. It's a beautiful church but for me it's hasn't got the wow factor of some of the cathedrals I have been in but still a decent place to visit when you in Prague of this is your... More

I have been to many ornate churches in my travels. This was not the fanciest but it was very nice. I think it suffered many year of not being maintained. They are working on it now though. There was a beautiful silver sculpture honoring the priest who refused to divulge the Queen's confessional secrets and had his tongue ripped out... More

Having seen most of the cathedrals in Europe, i cannot deny that my jaw dropped with the beauty of St. Vitus. To visit Prague, and not to visit St. Vitus Cathedral, is a mistake that will sooner or later, regret¡

It's one of the main touristic place in Prague. St. Vitus Cathedral looks really amazing. If you want to go insaide and rise to top of tower, buy full ticket, it's about 350 kr. Visiting other museum is included. But I thing St.Vitus Cathedral,Tower and Gold Street are enough, other museums are boring.

Great building in middle of old town. Very detailed architecture and a sight to see! Easy to find...gets very very crowded during the day, so if you want excellent photos, visit in the morning.

This church was built over a very long period of time and has some unusual characteristics due to this fact. Unlike other churches I have been in, this appears not to be an active church or a place that is maintained with religious respect (I could barely hear myself think with all the tours and noise).

Architecture is amazing, and you just can't stop looking around for new things to see. I would stay for a good hour to take everything in.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
