Even if you are not religious or dont like churches it is a must see sight if you visit Prague. The inner place is enormous, the mirrors and stetues are very interesting and its location also contributes to the fantastic view. Little bit disapponting that only a little part of the church is visitable for free.

If you're in Prague, this is a place you HAVE to visit and if you're not afraid of heights - visit the South Tower so you can get the best pictures for the holiday album. We got confused with the tickets first - bought a ticket with entry possibility to cathedral and thought we could go to the tower with... More

Beautiful Opulence is how I would describe this place. Amazing place to go and see and read a little of the history, inexpensive to get a ticket.

When we visited there was some maintenance being done but this done very litte to take away from the presence of this building. The details in all the sculptures and arches are immense and the walk around is very relaxing, the sun shines through the steeples in an awe inspiring way on a nice day

Just wow. At first glance it does what it was designed to do: make you feel small. As you make your way in and around, you'll see all the incredible gothic features and hopefully someone can tell you about a few of the things that are missing as well as the stories on the door!

This church was built and improved over centuries, there is probably nothing else in the world to beat it, right in the middle of the old city of Prague and the castle.

Must visit in Prague as part of the castle route. Love the gargoyles on the outside and chapel on the inside.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
