The old town is a point of gastronomy, hand made arts and music ! A very family area and you can eat a traditional pork in a roll and have a Prague Bread with Nutella as dessert when you watching the most variate kind of street artists. I fall in love with this point !!

There are so many sights to behold surrounded with such rich history. Old Town is a medieval settlement of Prague, Czech Republic. It was separated from the outside by a semi-circular moat and wall, connected to the Vltava river at both of its ends. The moat is now covered up by the streets (from north to south-west) Revoluční, Na Příkopě, and... Charm and history....in old town, Prague. Just loved the energy and the quirkiness on the streets. My best experience was having lunch in the Medieval Tavern Restaurant. What an awesome experience! Old world charm, candles only, great food and live music. It felt like I was back in time. I just want to go back again.

I could walk around here for days without getting bored. So much magical architecture and beautiful stories to accompany it. Get a guide to get the most out of it, but wandering along without any specific direction is also worth alot!

Go early to avoid huge crowds - interesting architecture for sure - visit the little independent bookstore in the corner!

Nothing makes me sick of going back to the Old town square whenever I am in Orague. It's such a beautiful place and a wonderful place to see how diverse Prague can be. However, nowadays there' s a lot of tourists crowding in the clock and it can be a nuisance at time.

I have visited some interesting places like Government Lounge at the Prague Main Railway Station, Postal Muzeum, Vysehrad National Cultural Monument and New Town Hall. Transport connections between places were provided by special bus line.

The square in Prague's old town seemed to have a constant buzz in both the morning and evening. The welcoming atmosphere made it very easy to enjoy the enchanting buildings, astronomical clock and sampling the many bars and restaurants in the area. A must see for visitors to Prague.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
