What a fantastic experience. I have been all over Europe and the Old Town Prague is in my view the most exciting and vibrant city in Europe. Prices were good, all attractions were easy to reach and the historical significance out of this world.

I cant stop but falling in love with Prague the City and Old Town the Square. I mean, the entire square looks incredible as if taken out of a well done painting. The quaint elegance, the gothic architecture, the scent of fresh beer, the hoards of musicians and the crowds from different parts of the world together make this a... More

One of the most unbelievable old town squares I have ever seen, Stare Mesto in Prague is simply stunning at every angle. I would recommend having lunch outside in the square on a nice day to take it all in.

On of the most beautiful cities in the world and really comfortable August weather make this a place not to miss. This is the key area to go when you visit Prague. Walk along the copious cobblestone streets, enjoy the old shops, and relish the fact that you made it to a place that holds unique charm and brings lasting... More

Lots of cool, traditional buildings within easy reach. Beautiful in the nighttime too. There are outdoor stalls selling various breads and foods. There are also cafes in the square to add to the charm.

There are loads of restaurants and bars all around . In the evening you'll be able to see random street shows and enjoy a great atmosphere . You could also observe a minor (in my opinion) tourist attraction which is the astronomical clock that presents a 10 second show of moving figures and sculptures of the apostales and some lame... It can get very busy so be prepared for crowds especially on the hour when the clock operates. There are some nice cafes around square to sit and watch.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
