One of the greatest places in Prague. The oldest bridge in Czech Republic. You feel there the atmosphere of history. But I recommend you not to go there on weekend, cause there´s too many tourists. more

We liked the Charles Bridge. During the day it is crowded, so what? Lots of happy people (tourists just like you). The vendors are nice. We did not feel pressured at all. The walk up the tower is fun and the view from atop is incredible. I enjoyed watching the swans swimming down below. At night, the castle hovers and... more

I did a walking tour of Prague and the guide told me a few things that people might be interested. Around halfway across the bridge there is a statue with a crucifix which people if they touch with their left hand and also with their left foot on a golden stud on the road will apparently return to Prague within... more

This was the most disappointing place we visited in all of Prague. With all the hype, it was overrun by tourists, vendors and construction blocking half the bridge. There are too many great things to do in this city than to waste time here. Maybe going in the morning or at night might be an improvement, but during the day... more

I was in Prague in winter--- February 2009--- and I must say that did not mean the city was deserted! To the contrary! I walked to Charles Bridge both at night and day and I totally loved it, crowds, trinklet sellers and all!!! The cold night view of the city was even better. The most mediaval city I have visited... more

We visited the beautiful city and the bridge in Winter 2007 and it was beautiful. No queues, not as many tourists and a beautiful city and bridge that not only showed off the splendor, but the marvel it took to live there. Winter in Praha is the best! more

This bridge is fantastic. The views either way are fabulous. The stalls and sellers line the bridge either side selling jewellery, pictures and lots more. Prague is a lovely country to visit. The food is brilliant, Plenty of different restaurants to choose from. Lots of sightseeing and pretty cobbled streets to enjoy the shops. Lots of crystal to buy if... more

Prague is generally overcrowded with tourists, and Charles' Bridge even more so! The crowds there are rather spectacular. it IS the prettiest bridge i've seen though, lined with really old and pretty statues (although most of them are casts now, the originals are kept in a safe place for preservation). lots of tourist stalls selling poster prints and pretty jewellery... more
