Beautiful views of Prague, stunning architecture, easy to get to, chilled out with access to all manner of restaurants, museums, pubs all close by. The only thing that spoilt it for us was that every few steps there were prostrate beggars that, if you're taken in by the views too much and not concentrating on where you're going, you run... If you visit Prague you most traverse the Charles bridge both during the day and at night to get the full scope of how amazing it is. During the day you can admire the artwork and carvings throughout the bridge as well as listen to music and just have the best time you will ever have crossing a bridge. Then... More

Charles Bridge (Karlův most) is a 14th century stone bridge linking the two sides of Prague. This magnificent structure, one of the city's finest attractions, is the main pedestrian route connecting the Old Town with the Lesser Town / Prague Castle. From Charles Bridge visitors can enjoy fairy-tale views of Prague. The wide expanse of the Vltava River flows beneath... More

We went in the noon and the crowd is amazing. We came to know (using tripso) that the statutes are replica (30 of them i think). If you love nice pictures, my recommendation would be from the different angles away from the bridge. The bridge itself are vendors trading their painting skills etc. I'm pretty sure night at the bridge... More

The Charles Bridge is extremely crowded with visitors so it can be difficult to walk across at times especially with so many vendors setting up shop along the way but it's well worth it to get to the other side and view the river from the view point of the bridge. It's especially beautiful at night.

the light is magical. Got to see a big flight of seagulls flying over the water, you feel like in a movie. The statues are interesting, and if some of them are really dirty, it gives to the pittoresque part of the place. If you have to cross the river, don't spoil il by just taking the subway, the view... The bridge is old and beautiful but the views of the city fro the bridge are even better! Some of our favorite pictures were taken from this bridge. It's a must see.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
