It is nothing more to say about this bridge. So the only way is to visit this place minimum 2 times : by day and by night . At any time the bridge is crowded with tourists. You will see 30 statues , representing saints , a large view of Vltava with swans . The most impressive feeling is that... More

A great attraction to visit day or night. This bridge is steeped in history and numerology. There are a multitude of statues, and each one has an interesting story. Colorful buskers and street artists ply their trade, providing entertainment, but it is the throngs of visitors that make the bridge come alive, and make it a real happy environment. A... More

If you are looking for genuine Czec arts and crafts, forget the Old City which is just full of Prada, Maccas, Russian dolls and chintzy garnet jewellery from god knows where. Go instaed to Chales Bridge - full of tourists but also wonderful Czec artwork. While in the area, the John Lennon memorial wall is also worth a look.

Walk with the hundreds of tourists and by sheer osmosis history is absorbed, there are all kinds of hawkers and artists from musicians to portrait painters and the views, the views, just stop in the middle and take it all in, look around and be amazed.

The bridge is historical and that is what makes it one of the most visited attraction in Prague. A perfect place to go for a walk with your partner or with family/friends. When we first went there it was raining. We were a couple so we enjoyed the walk in the rain which turned out to be pretty fun and... More

I came to Prague to experience the Medieval charms of a place with a long history. The Charles Bridge is definitely Medieval with its centuries-old structure, statues, and towers at both ends. The musicians who played here were eclectic but all interesting, and all helping to make this a place to spend time at again and again.

It is definitely a must see/go on when you are Prague... at least once. It does get super crowded and busy and full of vendors and musicians line the sides of the bridge which when you are trying to just get around or take a picture can get annoying. We did a Brussels tour the first time we went on... More

A beautiful bridge which is extremely busy. We enjoyed the street performers and artists. The views were lovely. Shame about the tourists putting locks on it but it seems to be the trend nowadays. Lovely walk in the evening. Lots of crowds to contend with but still worth doing.

I had always dreamed about visiting the bridge. Everyone I knew talked about it. So, our first visit to the bridge was in the evening looking from the new town (Opposite the bridge). It was stunnig and true to its fame. It was crowded but that made it interesting. There were several places to make your wishes come true. Musicians... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
