Or in the early morning or in the late evening. Always crowded by tourist! But nice bridge for nice views.

Such a lovely place, I myself went in the winter. I think the snow just made it all the more gorgeous. I know it's renowned for its stag dos and pick pockets but I fortunately witnessed none of that and had a lovely time.

If you are in Prague, you really should see the famous bridge that survived wars, different regimes, floods... The place is very lively, full of artists and performers. Visit it at different times, in the morning, when it's quiet and peaceful, at midday when it's full of life and in the evening, when it has a special charm.

It's absurd to think of going to Prague without seeing this beautiful, historical and creative playground on the water. Free entertainment all around - great music, art and views. A trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without it.

I loved seeing all the people using paddle boats in the river from this site as well as the larger sight seeing boats. The bridge is filled with history. Vendors line the sides of the bridge with unique gifts to buy and take home. Make sure this is part of your itinerary when in Prague!

Sadly Prague's premier tourist attraction is an intimidating obstacle course of dawdling tour groups, buskers, hawkers, portrait painters, purveyors of trinkets and tack, pickpockets and stag party/hen party groups for most of the day. Locals give it a wide berth as a result - but if you can get there before the tourist industry chaos invades it, it is truly... More

History and entertainment rolled into one - the street performers were actually better than some paid entertainers and I thoroughly enjoyed my walks up and down the bridge in the evenings. You could spend as long as you want here - but there is lots to explore on both sides of the bridge.

This is one of the icons of Prague and it need to be visited. Crossing the bridge it is an experience as you can enjoy a great view of the old area of the city. You must add it to the list of to do when visiting the city.

Visiting Prague without a couple of hours on the Charles Bridge is like being in Paris without going to the Eiffel Tower. Packed with busking groups and vendors of all shapes and sizes, you can buy interesting art, clever fridge magnets, quality portaits and stroll leisurely across the bridge looking at its wonderful sculptures and drink in magnificent views on...
