You should end up here after the walk across the Charles bridge. Plan to be here at round hour to experience the performance of 6th century astronomical clock performance.. Also, you can climb up to Old Town Municipal House towel for great view of the place. Enjoy the glass of beer, coffee or hot wine (only during winter), Prague ham,... More

If you're visiting in the summer, the height of the tourist season, keep your ears open and over the course of 5 minutes you're likely to hear more than 6 or 7 languages.

the astronomical clock is a wonder to behold. alas my enjoyment of it was spoilt by many of the other tourists who thought it was OK to barge through crowds and push people out of the way to see it. and alas most of these were Americans. I don't know what it was about this last weekend but prague seemed... More

Old Town Square looks fabulous day or night but try and visit in the evening when Tyn Church is lit up, it's like something from a fairy tale. Lots of eateries and bars to choose from as well as stalls selling hotdogs, crepes etc. Definitely worth a visit.

It was love from the first sight. During our 4 days in Prague we've been comming back there at least once a day. The fantastic atmosphere of beautiful, diversified, old buildings as well as the actors, singers and dancers performing at the Old Town Square make it a special place, where you can feel the atmosphere of late centuries. Many... More

Head to the clock tower and you and you are in the middle of the fun. Hard Rock Cafe has the best staff of all we have been to. Watch the anatomical clock at the top of the hour, see the street preformers, and eat some of that meat they are cooking on the spits/BBQs...

This place is unreal! Myself and my wife really enjoyed our trip to Praque. This square has something for everyone, churches, restaurents, architecture, food on the street, cocktails and beer on the move, plenty of monuments to be seen along the way. My wife loved the cocktails , we both thought the drinks on the go was a great idea!... More

A really lovely square for people watching with many bars and restaurants. We were there during the Prague Marathon which finishes here, and was a great place to be.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
