Brilliant tour today with Pistis our tour guide. Yes, you can walk around on your own with a guide book, but you can bet it won't be half as informative and fun as the "Royal Walk" free tour. The tour was engaging and told with passion and humour that had us entertained for over two hours. Hope the Castle tour... More

We enjoyed two walking tours, the first on Tuesday 2nd February, the second on Wednesday 3rd February. Our guide for the first of these walks was a guy called Callum, he introduced us to the 'Callum Index', spoke of his father, 'Michael' (no-one's ever heard about him) and offered us other words of advice. What a nice guy Callum is,... More

It was one of the most interesting experiences in my life! The subject of the tour itself is very heavy, morbid and yet important and impressive. Im very thankful to our tour guide Givi for giving us so much information, facts, legends. I catch myself listening to him everytime with my mouth opened. He is very intelligent, has lots of... We booked the free walking tour which was both fascinating and informative. Our guide was Callum, who had a super sense of ironic humour combined with an In depth historical knowledge. The tour covered the old town down to the river and back up to the old city walls and we learnt everything there is to know about the various... More

My friend and I joined the free walking tour around old town and new town of Prague. We got our guide named 'Callum' who was so hilarious (plus, imho, he reminds me of Fred/George Weasley, really) yet tirelessly told us everything about the history of Prague and Czech Republic in common. He was also giving us a tips to choose... More

Our first time in Prague which was a huge success thanks in no small way to the tours we did with Discover Prague Tours. Our guide for the Free tour was Czech David and he was just great. Huge amount of knowledge, fantastic personality and a very sharp sense of humour. We enjoyed the experience so much that we then... More

I was in Prague for a day and initially I wanted to do the German tour, which was cancelled due to no one else turning up. Obviously I can't really complain about that and I was asked if I wanted to join the English tour with Callum. I might have missed the first couple of minutes, but the tour lasted... More

We picked up a leaflet from our hotel and decided on the free tour of old town to get our bearings of the city. Look for the yellow umbrellas by the Ripley's Believe It or Not by the old church, near to the Astrological clock. There were 14 people on our tour so nice and small. The lady taking us... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
