We had one full day to spend in Prague and wanted to see as much as possible so we booked a tour with Private-Prague-Guide.com. Mrs. Veronika met us at our hotel right on time and walked us through the Jewish Quarter while explaining the history and significance of the various sights. Then she gave us time to have lunch before... More

We decided to use this company to take us to Cesky Krumlov, so booked on line. At first it looked like we would not be going due to being fully booked, but Jay managed to sort this out, and Zuzana took us to see the castle and the town. You can tell they are a little different, we was given... More

My wife and I booked a day trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi death camp through Private Prague Guide during a pre-Cruise extension on Viking. The company prefers cash payment at the conclusion of the tour but accepts credit card pre-payment with a 4% surcharge. We opted for the former at 13,500 ck or about $570. That seems high, but it... We booked a private tour of Terezin with a Tripadvisor recommended tour guide Pavel Bartel. He arrived promptly at 8,30 at our hotel and drove us to the site, providing fantastic information for the full day of the tour. We visited several locations in the town, including the museum, the crematorium and a house used as a prayer house for... More

It was a very interesting trip. Karlovy Vary is unique and beautiful with its river and its buildings and their structures. We really enjoyed in Karlovy Vary. We enjoyed the most famous Glass Factory, the "Moser", in Europe and probably the whole world since it manufactures the best and the finest quality of Glass works and crystals. We also enjoyed... First off, let me start by saying that I am not normally the type to leave reviews, but in this case I feel it is a must. I first used their transfer service from the Prague airport to my hotel. Their driver was on time and patient while I aquired a phone card at the airport. He then took me... More

My wife and I had a strong desire to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau from Prague for one day and found that the only efficient option was by private tour operator. We are thrilled to have selected this agency to provide us with a driver guide named Premsyl. The tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau was life changing. No words can describe the feelings we had... More

We (family of four, kids 17 and 13) did a day trip from Prague to Dresden, and I cannot praise the company highly enough! Service was first rate, but our guide, George, really made the difference. Very knowledgeable about both Prague and Dresden, he really looked after us, and provided so many interesting stories and anecdotes, it was almost like... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
