I've been to Prague for a few days now, and had the pleasure to take 2 of Sandeman's tours which were both fascinating and entertaining. Other than history, the guide gave some valuable information to help us get along in the city (like how to avoid being ripped off by local retailers or ATMs) . I can definitely say these... More

This used to be my favorite "free walking tour" company, they have capable guides and give good information. This time however I was very disappointed. The company has turned super commercial and you now have to spent 15-20 minutes of your tour listening to their other "paid tours" promotion. And also, 30 minutes of the tour are spent in a... More

This was my favourite walking tour of our inter railing trip! Our guide, Ashley, was brilliant and very funny. He took the time to tell us about what restaurants to visit and were to go. Really worth while doing.

The free walking tour offered by Sandeman is absolutely a great way to explore Prague: this wonderful city! I recommend you plan to go on the walking tour on the first day of your visit, because in addition to explaining famous places of interest, you can familiarize yourself with the best places to eat and drink and also where to... We have just participated in this tour and wanted to review it while the superlatives are still fresh in our mind. Our tour guide on this occasion was Kathryn Hume, an Australian now living in Prague. From the moment the tour began she impressed with her warmth and humour, but as the tour progressed it was clear that she was... More

You just need to know one word: Tatiana. I did the free walking tour in the morning with her as our guide and I went from thinking Prague was okay to really starting to like Prague. The stories, the histories, the interesting fun facts all made the tour extremely enjoyable. I liked the morning tour so much that I ended... More

Having Tatiana as our guide in the Free Walking Tour of Praha City Center, I and my son, felt something different. That we are not tourists anymore, but we know Praha as inhabitants. The tips for food, beer, bars were very helpful. Unfortunately we had to leave next day, so we cannot attend the Castle Tour.. Thank you Tatiana.

We did the walking tour with Parvel and it was good to have a local guide who had lived through some of the history of Prague. The tour was informative and gave a good insight into Prague its history and its architecture and lifestyle. Parvel gave a lot of good information and was friendly and easy to to be with... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
