The name of the place today is Zámecké Lázně. We want to try an experience in a Spa in Karlovy Vary but was a really bad one. The place is very nice, like a palace, but it was not enough warm, only ONE pool, ONE sauna and very poor indeed ! We expected much much more ! After that we... More

The travel guidebooks really overplayed the baths. They were interesting, but not at all what we expected after reading about them. Except for the one main bath that was really a geyser inside a building. they were really only water fountains where you could fill your little teapot up with bad tasting mineral water. The town itself was really pretty... More

This is one of the classic spa in the town. However, it is around 15 minutes walk by public transportation. If you are trying out the spa, make sure you planned to stay for one night, likewise, it is very rush. The spa is large and the service are good. i tried the gum cleansing, the hot and cold foot... My initial impression was actually good, the clerk at the reception spoke good English and it made an overall good impression. But sadly the rest could not hold up to the first glance. We booked the program Superior. The Personal did not speak sufficient english to explain the procedures and actually never took care of any treatment. Mostly they were... More

Booked a three-hour spa package including a massage (lovely), steam inhalation (relaxing) and pool use. The spa was nice and clean and the staff were friendly. However, it didn't feel that luxurious- the robe and towel that were provided were both flimsy and soon soaking wet with no possibility to exchange for a dry set. The showers had no toiletries... If you are in Karlovy vary and are on a day trip or staying in a hotel that does not have an in house spa don not worry. Castle baths is just the solution for that. It is a spa which is located bang in the middle of town and accepts outsiders. We had booked for a three hour program.... More

During a trip to Karlovy Vary, we visited this beautiful place. Baths are in the spa center and are built directly into the rock, which looks perfect. The staff is very helpful and peaceful atmosphere reigns everywhere. We recommend the purchase of at least 3-hour entry, we really enjoyed it!

Karlovy Vary is not part of our plan to visit in Czech Republic and just out of the blue we decide to hope on the bus for 2 hours and reach this city. My hubby are too eager to visit as he wanted to try the thermal spa in which we finally come this place. It was nice and luxurious.... More

I have been to the thermal spas in Budapest and you cannot compare this to those. It's compulsory to buy a package of some sort and there is a time limit of how long you can stay. The spa is very clean and staff friendly but there was no atmosphere in the place. There was one main pool with warm... More

We heard from the info place in town that this was the more upscale of the spas in town. We did a 3 hour package stay which included one 'major' treatment and two 'minor treatments' This was to cost about $40 pp. Since the 'major treatment' was a 15 minute massage we added another half hour for about $12 pp....
