We spent a day in Karlovy Vary together with my son in our 1-day escapade from Prague using bus to reach destination. We never regret it, since the town is very pictoresque, situated in hills, gives an impression of harmony with nature. The mineral water is very specific, I dare to say it smells and tastes not very good, but,... More

As the frequent visitor to KV, I suggest to visit the outdoor swimming pool in hotel Thermal. It's the unique pool filled with warm spring water. Open for the public all year around. Also, please consider visiting KV Arena. It's the resent addition to the city. Hockey matches there are great entertainment. Tickets are reasonably priced. Also, there are several... More

Day trip, bus 2.25 hours from Prague. Easy to maneuver, though more buses would help. Found a spa via tourist centre peeps who were friendly and accommodating. Spa was in Windsor Hotel. Great people, professionals. $75 for massage and mineral bath. Town is sweet, full of sweets, great for the spa, the walk, get back to Prague by night.

We are staying in Prague and took a day trip to Karlovy Vary. We took the Student Agency company bus early. In the morning. 150 Kc one way. Please note that you need to make reservations for seats in advance. The trip takes about 1,5 hours. If you want to go to the Moser glass factory get off at the... More

See it as a day trip from Prague if you must. We stayed 2 nights and were bored. Very grand buildings andInteresting to see the colonnades but that's it. Dianna lookout 2/10. Couldn't even afford a massage. Only for the rich and famous Russians and Germans.

This town was beautiful! Located in the middle of a very mountainous region, but worth every minute of walking. Plenty of souvenir stands available. Awesome.

Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad is the correct original name) used to be a magnificent example of pre-war luxury spa town with long history, great architecture, top services, tradition and best reputation amongst top clientele from all around the world. The list of world famous visitors of Carlsbad is endless. It used to be (until 1946) German city (German prevailing ethnic) though... More
