The Haynes Library building is a beautiful pink building. It is really worth a visit! The opening hours are Monday to Thursday (9:00am until 6:00pm), Friday (9:00am until 5:00pm) and Saturday (10:00am until 4:00pm). There are more than 11,000 volumes there (mainly used ones), but a world encyclopedia for kids, and on the second floor a nice computer station (for... More

Really neat library with cool fans and Saturday morning activities. Right across from the beach where there are sailing lessons.

That part of the is;and really feels like a bit of a time capsule, the Library, the Church, the cemetery... Take in the views from the second floor balcony.

Professional staff provide very interesting and detailed historical perspective about the development of Eleuthera. I understand staff also provide local youngsters an opportunity to learn about their own history.

This place smells of an old house with a great book collection, it feels relaxing, & the upstairs deck has a nice view. They have crafts for kids Saturdays at 10:45 and while we were there it was kite flying on the beach & ice cream making. A really nice place to visit. Unfortunately if you become a member you... If I had a library like this, I would stay and read every book! The collection is aging, but the space is wonderful. The windows open right to the ocean. There is wireless internet access and an upstairs deck. There are roosters in the yard. The children's reading room is very nice and has a lot of books and low... More

I absolutely love stopping in to the Haynes Library every time I come. The building is just fantastic and historic. They have computers also if you need internet access while on holiday. Make sure you make a donation and help out - they take used books and monetary donations by becoming a member. Completely worth it knowing you're doing a... More

This library is a beautiful old building. More importantly, it provides many services to the local area beyond being a simple library. It provides educational services such as reading and IT, maybe more. Worth taking a look at and maybe even making a donation to help them.
