On Thursday Aug.6th, we left the RV Park at Seal Bay,Courtenay and diverted to Mount Washington and Strathcona Parkway to walk some of the trails. We walked over 2 hours.......the trails are well done AND very enjoyable. And best of all: not many people. From there, it was an easy drive on hwy 19 to Parksville. Really glad we took... More

Grate mountain in the summer and winter. It is well situated and above the clouds. There is a Wow factor when you arrived on the top and see that you actually over the clouds.

I stayed in the alpine resort in Bear lodge accommodation as part of a wedding party last weekend, the. Place is amazing, nowhere can you get better views and a stunning location. The food was limited to the one place but it was good and we ate there on two occasions and really enjoyed it. The accommodation was lovely and... More

We were a group of 40 PLUS Active and Retired Canadian Forces Personnel who were on a ski trip. What a superb group of people that attended to us. Took my grandson skiing with me for the first time and we had a blast! They have a number of magic carpets which allows beginner skis to progress up the run as their skills improve. The Hawk Chair provides access to green runs so the fun can continue.

Our first trip to Mt Washington; I had skied at Forbidden Plateau many, many times, but somehow never made it to Mt Washington. Our visit was a quick two-day, mid-week getaway: day one was spent looking around and snow tubing, day two was spent skiing. Being first-time visitors, we had plenty of questions about amenities, prices, hours, and so on;... More

I have been to Mt Washington several times it is way to pricey and the food is horrible. I would not eat at fat Teddy's. They get away with it because they don't have any competition. If they were any were else with other restaurants in sight they would have been bankrupt a long time ago. Comon guys my 10... More

We spent Christmas on Mount Washington and lucky for us there was plenty of snow, as the mountain had its first big dump of snow a week before we arrived! My son and I skied and maybe I'm getting too cautious, as I get older. but I found the runs trickier than i'm used to. i found the runs weren't... More
