This is a wonderful experience. Good for the bones, muscles and body. Water is healing and you sleep like a baby after. The resort is great. Has ice palace with marvelous sculptures and delicious apple martinis in ice carved glasses. Restaurant food is good . The flowers are spectacular, actually breathtaking. You get to make two luggage tags so you... More

The place is about 60-70 miles away from Fairbanks and when you reach there you find they are drawing hot springs water via a pump from a very DIRTY pool into mini pond they have created.

Not a Ritz Carlton, but that's not why you go. You go to get as far away from your every day life as possible. With that said, they have everything you could ask for. We stayed at the Moose Lodge. Clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was exceptional. The owners are amazingly involved in the running of the resort. The... More

I didn't stay at the resort, but did the Evening at Chena. Which included a pick up and return at hotel in Fairbanks, Dinner, Tour of Ice Museum and soak in the hot springs. If you didn't want to soak you could take the Geothermal tour. I wanted to do the Day at Chena tour, it allows you to soak... More

Went here with a group of 12 to do some snow shoeing and jump into the Hot Springs afterwards. What a treat! The snow shoeing was a great workout. Just follow the marked trails and you can select your own level of challenge. After that we headed for the huge outdoor hot springs. What a great way to relax. As... More

Stay here instead of Fairbanks, so much more to do here. The ice museum was awesome. Wish we had more time here.

Forget any tours. Just do it by yourself for a one day trip. By car it is only 1.5 hour. The road is in a good shape and the last part towards Chena Hot Springs is wonderful. Use only the outside Hot Tub (15$ per adult), the inside swimming pool and spas are very dirty. The experience outside is incredible... More

Not only did we experience both hot & cold within a short time frame, but the experience left me with a mixed emotional feeling, somewhat hot & cold. It was interesting to see & feel the hot springs & the ice museum, I'm not sure it was entirely worth the time & money to get there.(over $200.00) From the reviews... More

The waters are soothing, but the pool is very dirty and the springs possibly could use a little attending to. They mix 57 degree Celsius water with snow runoff for uneven water temps. The massage water spout is worth the entry fee, however. Just be aware that there is no lifeguard supervision for the pool if you bring children and... More
