We visited the altoplano in April. We chose the access from Tuili, just turn right somewhere in the village and you will hit the small road leading up the mountain. At the end there is a parking space and a ranger station where you can look at some maps as there is apparently no signage in the park. When you... More

It was my 2nd visit of Sardinia and I finally got to go to there. I love horses so I was eager to see the so-called wild horses. Well, they are not really wild... They get food and some even have ropes along their necks... But they are kind of wild I guess... It was interesting to see them just... More

This is a unique horse riding experience as gianni is a true horse man and knows the animals well. The stallion and foals all followed along as we went for a walk through the national park. More fun if you speak italian as there are many plants which local people eat which gianni points out. The horses are calm and... More

We visited at the start of may and the area was stunning. The lakes were covered with flowers, there were loads of other flowers and we saw lots of groups of wild horses. Quite simply it was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Take your time - go for a walk or ride a horse - and... More

Horseback riding in the Giara di Gesturi is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You feel like you could be in any era is history and nothing has changed. It is a little tricky to organize because it is something that is very "Italian"-- meaning not organized at all!!! The man who runs the horses just hangs out at the entrance with his... More
