After a 3 hour drive from muscat, through mountains ridges and the desert you arrive at this spectacular wadi. It starts of with rice fields and date palms. Then you arrive at the 1st pool, with a restaurant. Clothed swimming is mandatory here as you are close ro the villages. Please hike along the rocky terrain up to the waterfalls... More

It is approximately 3 hrs from Muscat. The drive is scenic. We saw the landscape transition from mountains to barren flat land with few shrubs to sand dunes. This Wadi is reportedly one of the nicest. There are caves here also but we did not have time to make the walk. Also, the ground path was uneven and required a... More

Wadi has lost at least some of its beauty due to the restaurant close by the pools. Easy to reach through a very good road.

Wadi Ban Khalid is another must see in Oman. I went there with a guide and my lunch there was included in the price of the tour. I enjoyed the walk up the wadi to the large, beautiful ponds, surrounded by date palms and lush vegetation, created by the spring water. Lunch is in a restaurant perched above the largest... More

I think this is one of the places not to be missed if you are living in (or even just visiting) Oman. It's more than 200 km away from Muscat (about 3 hours when taking the Nizwa-Ibra road at 80-100 km/hr and about 4 hours when taking the Sur road at 100-120 km/hr). The place was great. Lots of pools... More

Visited this Wadi during our three day tour of Oman.Fortunately before our arrival it had rained so the Pools had plenty of water in them. The walk from the car park to the Pools takes about 10 mins initially along a well made path.As you reach the pools the path disappears and you then have to find you own way... More

Nice place to kill hot in Oman. Need to visit with family and friends. You need to take own transport and food.

When in Oman you simply MUST visit a Wadi - I clocked up 3 myself So what to expect, well a WADI is a valley, ravine, or channel that is dry except in the rainy season. It usually features lots of shallow/deep pools, caves, springs and waterfalls along the course of the stream If you feel like you are surrounded... More
