This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oman! In fact, if you get there early enough during the day, can have some of the areas to your self. The best part of the Wadi is actually towards the end, near the caves. We jumped off the cliffs into the water, it was totally awesome. There is also... More

There is no arguing the beauty of this place, and the drive there is spectacular. However, I visited on a Friday, and the site itself was heaving with picnickers, so the potential peace and awesomeness of the location was somewhat lost in the banality of people having a very good time! I'm glad I visited but I didnt stay long.... More

The Wadi is close to villages, thus there is a request for a modest swimming dress code for women. We did not do a hike on the trek. But we enjoyed a great time swimming in the first pool. There is a restaurant there which we didn't try, it offers a lunch buffet for OMR 5. Depths of the pools... More

It's hard to imagine driving 25km into the mountains from the main road and then finding this stunning oasis. If you want to swim here you can ...the water is clear and full of small fish. There is a coffee shop/small restaurant and toilet. If you are fit enough then you can walk over the rocks for about 1km to... More

This Wadi is really beautiful and well worth the visit. The natural beauty is quite spectacular and you are left in awe most of the time. However, the start of the Wadi is a bit too kitsch. It's all man made and looks a bit like a tacky water park. That wasn't very nice, but it's really worth it when... More

The hotel itself is amazing. But...this is about tours booked through this hotel. We opted to book a day tour through the concierge of the hotel. The "Wadi Bani Khalid & Wahiba Sands" tour looked great and was recommended by him. It was a 1 full day tour from 8:30-7:00 pm. Pick up at the lobby. We were there on... More

You simply have to visit as many of these Wadi's as you can to get a real understanding of the way of life for the people who live in and around them. Great for treaking or in this case taking a refreshing swim. You will need to be careful about the timing of the visit because all the wadi's can... More

the Wadi has been upgraded and there are facilities for food and drinks now. The Wadi has a number of swimming holes but you are expected to wear knee to ankles outfits which nullifies the whole swimming experience, somewhat. Worth while to refresh after the dustiness of Muscat .. so go if you can

A great place for a swim. The water is so clear and refreshing. If you don't want to swim, just dangle your feet in the water and get a fish pedicure, then explore the rock formations, walk toward the gorge and have a drink at the cafe.
