Awesome, magestic mountains rising out of the desert, scatterings of mud brick villages on every other turn. The landscape changed every hour. Stray dogs on the side of the road watching each car pass with lonely eyes hoping for food....... Sad....

The whole experience was fantastic. The views were awesome. The roads were single tracks on the edge of cliffs but the driver was brilliant. Just like being on Top Gear. Had a lovely tegine lunch and mint tea in a berber house.

We had pre-booked a taxi to take us to the Atlas Mountains for 800 dirhams for day and it may have been slightly over priced but it was well worth it. The views are breath-taking and the trek to one of the 7 waterfalls was great.

We took a day excursion through the mountains (we cheated and went on 4 wheels rather than trekking on 2 feet). The twisting Tizi n Tichka pass through the High Atlas to Ouarzazate is full of sheer drops, acute bends and wonderful views. It's a long drive, but the scenery is dramatic and changeable, and it was great to escape... More

Spectacular views, great hiking, friendly people and well worth the trip. Local crafts for sale for less than in Marrakech.

Had a wonderful day travelling out to the Atlas mountains with a tour guide (600Dh pre-arranged), beautiful scenery, tour guide was really friendly. Once we got to the end of the road (literally) at Setti Fatma, a tour guide was waiting to take us trekking up furhter into the mountains. After an hours climb through a wonderful valley we arrived... More
