We have loved it in the winter for years for skiing, but 2 weeks ago we went there for the first time for the MANY summer activities. Particularly loved the lift ride to the top and views.

There are not too many choices when comes to skiing in Arizona. Sunrise is the largest resort, offering skiing on 3 mountains. What's lacking is better service (smile folks), and better infrastructure. There is only one high speed chairlift, all others are obsolete and painfully slow. Lift tickets prices have been rising steadily over last few years yet no new... More

We have attended the 3D Archery Shoot for four years now at Sunrise Park Ski Resort over the 4th of July holiday and it is wonderful. It is a beautiful area, with breathtaking views of the mountain from the top of the mountain. The owners do a fabulous job hosting several hundred archers for this annual event. We look forward... A lovely way to escape the heat, with a pleasant 67 degrees at the top of the lift, this day in June. There are lots of activities at the bottom of the lift for 'children' of all ages. Today, the most popular one was to put one's rented bike on the back of the chairlift, ride it up, and then... More

Snowboarding in AZ? who would've thought! I actually learned to snowboard at Sunrise. Being one of two snowboarding spots in AZ, the runs are pretty decent. The white mountains are absolutely beautiful. I have been here during all seasons. Winter is great when there is snow, spring is a OK, summer has great mountain biking and ELK hunting, and Fall... It was our 4 year in a row traveling for some skiing in Sunrise. The mountain is nice, with good trails. The food is good, service is regular, and tickets are not so pricey. On the negative side within the last 2 years is the lack of snow. Most trails were made with artificial snow thus some trails got very icy.

I visited this resort in month of May with my wife and kid. The weather was awesome and we tried the scenic zip line to the top and it was fun.. my kid loved it most! The view was great from top where there was also a small restaurant. This is also great place for biking and hiking.

Just about 4 years ago we were on a ski vacation at Sunrise. The mountain is beautiful - far better than Snowbowl - and it was a perfect day. Then it all went to hell when someone on two ski's took my legs out from under me and nearly broke my neck. I guess he probably considered himself to be... More
