had evening meal for 4 people, including wines. the food was interesting, and reasonable value, but the wines, (we chose blue wren exclusively) were very disappointing; the dessert wine was frankly shocking.. the atmosphere was strange, as you are seated in the main tasting area, and even ambient lighting cannot disguise the fact that you are basically sitting in a... I had my wedding at Blue Wren in April 2011! Most amazing venue ever! The staff were fantastic, all the way from my initial dealings with functions co-ordinator Darlene, right through to our courtesy trip back to our b&b by the owner himself on our wedding night! Everything was perfect: staff, food, ambience, drinks!!! My father in-law was so impressed when he paid... More

We enjoyed a wine tasting and followed that up with a very pleasant, well priced lunch.

I recently attended a family wedding at Blue Wren and was so impressed with it. The food was magnificent and plentiful, the wines were very nice and the staff were professional and friendly. The owners went out of their way to be helpful, even taking the bride and groom to their accommodation in their BMW. I would certainly look here... More

Owners extremely friendly & obliging prior to the function, but do not want to know about anything that you are not happy with once money has changed hands. She is particularly arrogant, rude & dismissive. Think twice about cocktail menu for a large function. There is not enough staff serving & platters used are far too small for a large number... More

Stopped in for a lunch as we explored mudgee. Light mains were a bit under $20 per head and were all good. Service was friendly and the clean warehouse look made for a relaxing ambience. Wines were a bit indifferent - the wait staff also do the tasting so not as personal a wine tasting experience.

It was so nice to visit a winery where we could have a beautiful lunch as well as taste the wines. The food was simple, fresh and tasty and you have to try the verjuice. The Sticky Beak dessert wine was pretty good too!
