Beautiful little church to light a candle for loved ones, an amazing structure and a tree to amaze you by its size, age and shape.

The monastery is surrounded by restaurants, bars and 'the strip' with nightclubs and music blaring at night. During the day it is peaceful and beautiful. There are monks' cells, remains of aquaducts but most stunningly an underground chapel.

If your in Ayia Napa you must take time out away from the hectic lifestyle to visit the monastery it's well worth the visit and very interesting and it gives you a idea what this little fishing port must of been like before tourism took over. Well worth the visit.

Considering you're in the heart of Ayia Napa, this Monastery is so tranquil. 800 year old Olive Tree outside, Moorish architecture inside. We got married there 12 years ago and the place holds a special corner of our hearts.

this is in the heart of Ayia Napa and you could easily miss it if you do not know its there. In the process of having a café installed while we were there. Renovations are in progress at the moment. Free entry so is nice to sit there and cool off for a while.

Having lived in Cyprus before partition and revisited many times since then it is interesting to see the changes that have been made, not all to the good may I say. This tiny monastery does not compete with those up at Prodromus and the atlas but nonertheless continues to provide an oasis of peace and quiet in what was once a... Just next to the bars in Ayia Napa you can find the Ayia Napa monastery and it is definitely worth a visit. It has a small little orthodox church and a few other buildings around it from the time it used to be a monastery. It is free and very interesting to see.

This is such a lovely little jewel, and frightening close to the 'strip'. It is free and really interesting. You really should take a few minutes to have a look around

A most stunning, tranquil place, that we visit every time we stay in Cyprus. It is like stepping into another world.
