The church next to the monastery was beautiful... Though I have visited many monasteries in Europe which have expressed more culture and history.

Whilst walking through Ayia Napa we came across the Monastery right next to all the night clubs looks a bit out of place but a pleasant find. Lots of history well worth a look.

If you are craving some intellectual sanity, this is the place. The quiet Byzantine and Gothic architecture sits quietly in the middle of Agia Napa proper. Big shady trees are lovely to walk under that dot the precinct. Beautifully maintained Byzantine site.

Beautiful tranquil oasis, in the middle of Ayia napa, a stones throw away from the famous night life. Sat for a while and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, the beautiful modern church at the end of the square is worth a visit too.

Not terribly exciting wedged in the middle of Ayia Napa it seemed A bit forgotten. Shame. Beautiful carved wood inside but I certainly would not have paid to I on a trip to visit it

Very interesting to gaze at with a ton of good photograph opportunities. Steeped in history. Only problem is all the signs are written in Greek so any English speakers will have to ask for translation but it is well worth it :)

In the middle of the bustling tourist town stands the monastery and church of Agia Napa. Beautiful place where you can find some peace and quiet.

Beautiful little church to light a candle for loved ones, an amazing structure and a tree to amaze you by its size, age and shape.

The monastery is surrounded by restaurants, bars and 'the strip' with nightclubs and music blaring at night. During the day it is peaceful and beautiful. There are monks' cells, remains of aquaducts but most stunningly an underground chapel.

If your in Ayia Napa you must take time out away from the hectic lifestyle to visit the monastery it's well worth the visit and very interesting and it gives you a idea what this little fishing port must of been like before tourism took over. Well worth the visit.
