Difficult to reach but then nice

Walked there from Binz through the forrest - quite demanding but award in the end is really nice. Really recommended and you can use "car-train" from Binz if you want.

Great service, and nice restaurant with fair prices. We visit the place with our family including 7 people. Please notice it's 2 km. walking uphill in the forest.

We walked from the first car park - about 3km in each direction. Not many people about. We did not go in the Jagschloss as it was closed.

Nice looking hunting house, rennovated, but still nice looking. Entrance fee is 6 euro. The house itself is not big. It has an amazing trophy room and some nice rooms. The the gem of this castle is the rooftop - the observing place of the Ruegen Island. Small iron steps lead you to the top of the castle. It;s very... More

Beautifully restored building and inside restoring is still going on, so some rooms we were not able to visit. Still impressing and very interesting. A beautiful staircase leads up to the tower from which you have a beautiful and perfect view!

One of the most beautiful parts of rügen. The iron stare case to the roof is t for everybody. My wife returned after the first staircases. At the roof great panorama.

Art wants to renew itself. Tries to be original. Often people -after realising a project- discover they just were copy cats. And then still: copy cats can be interesting, sometimes even better that the original. Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst.... But this fake castle is a disney type of ...

Must see, great for non-Germans as well as most info also in English... Fun to walk up the tower in the castle. The restoration has been beautifully done. Cool to learn a little local history to boot.

I don't like walking much and we took a little "train" from the parking lot at the base of the forest to the castle in the middle of the woods. A very imposing sight with quite a history. This is a well-preserved example of one of Germany's hunting castles belonging to one of the well-to-do of the times. An amazing... More

My visit to Jagdschloss Granitz left me with a feeling that I wasted my time. I know this criticism is very harsh and maybe it is not what others have felt but here is the reasons that made me feel like this: - Getting there: It is difficult, time consuming, touristy. Even though there is a street to the Schloss... More
