I don't like walking much and we took a little "train" from the parking lot at the base of the forest to the castle in the middle of the woods. A very imposing sight with quite a history. This is a well-preserved example of one of Germany's hunting castles belonging to one of the well-to-do of the times. An amazing... More

My visit to Jagdschloss Granitz left me with a feeling that I wasted my time. I know this criticism is very harsh and maybe it is not what others have felt but here is the reasons that made me feel like this: - Getting there: It is difficult, time consuming, touristy. Even though there is a street to the Schloss... More

The view from the tower is great, the museum also is worth seeing, very modern to my surprise, I liked the furniture made of deer horns! But! Don't have terrible sausages from the man at the station. He is shortchanging (deceiving), too! That spoiled all the impression from the nice place.

Although it is at the top of a hill, access is easy with the shuttle service. It provides lovely views and an idea of how the nobility lived in the 19th century. Everything is well preserved.

The tower offers a nice view at the island. Its staircase is beautiful, itself that is worth a visit.

You can visit the Castle on several ways. Take the small tsjuk tsjuk train form Binz and let you drive to the enterance of the castle. Or take the Rasender Roland train from Binz or Sellin to the stop Jagdschloss and walk for about 1 mile to the castle, it is very beatifull. The last way to get there is... More

Lack of rooms open to the public, and had to pay to take photographs which seemed a bit strange. Also had to pay to use the toilets which I know is common practice in Germany but not when you have just paid to view the castle!

Well preserved and renovated. The point of the visit is really to climb the tower. Unbelievable views of Ruegen, Germany's largest island

Impressive staircase in the tower and great view from up there. The exhibit on the history and hunt was also quite informative.
