I've got mixed feelings about this area. It's always been enjoyable to have a stroll here or just sit on the grass or at a picnic table and enjoy a snack and the views over the water. The area has been much developed over the years, improved in some sections but to me has lost the appeal of when it was less developed. Some good facilities for the young ones and yet more construction/redevelopment work underway. Probably have to visit in summer months to see it at it's best.

It's really easy to entertain the grandkids at the Foreshore.
They really had fun in the playground.
A trip in the little train was very well received.

The Eastern Foreshore Park in Mandurah is a perfect place for a picnic with lovely views of Mandurah and the waterways.
We saw many dolphins frolicking in the estuary.

Great little stretch of foreshore right in the heart of Mandurah.

I don't think you could visit Mandurah and not walk along the Eastern foreshore. I spent a few weeks in Mandurah and visited the foreshore on several occasions.

Some of the highlights:
- spotting some of the local dolphins from the foreshore
- the Sunday market with live music played from the rotunda and camel rides available
- seeing all the families especially at weekend lining the foreshore for a picnic or sausage sizzle
- views across Mandjar bay of the various boats, jet skis and SUPs across to the war memorial and King Carnival

There is a park in the middle for the kids, toilets facilities, plenty of grassed areas for sitting, benches, BBQ's and with plenty of cafes and restaurants within minutes gives you great access to most of Mandurah centre.

Definitely worth a visit and you would do well not to visit this area when in Mandurah.

Tip: Just watch for the seagulls

The City of Mandurah has recently completed a revamp of the beautiful foreshore. It is a great improvement and as a result there are always lots of people out enjoying the area. The new grassed areas and walkways make it a huge improvement. The city has much to be proud of here. It is a beautiful natural bay and the resident Dolphins are always close by. Evidently their is a regular population of about 30 and they are always adding to their number with new babies. A recent TV documentary showed that the numbers have been swollen recently with wild dolphins coming in the deliver their young. It was estimated that the numbers are about 90 at the moment. It is easy to see Dolphins from the Foreshore. It is a great place for boating and other water sports like wave boarding, kayaking and fishing. A new bridge over the estuary is nearly completed which will add another improvement to this seaside town. The foreshore is close to restaurants and there are barbecues for picnics so everyone is well catered for. The large children's playground is always a hit with families. With wonderful weather all year round, it is a great place to visit.

Great family park in Mandurah, with lawns, BBQ's and a big playground. There's also a little train that you can catch a ride on if you have time. Our kids loved the playground area and we enjoyed wandering along the waterfront path. Plenty of people out and about, giving it a pleasant atmosphere. We spent quite a bit of time here during our stay in Mandurah.

We ate dinner in the park. The tables were clean as was the surrounding grass. Plenty of clean public loos, plenty of rubbish buns. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Even the children playing were not too noisy. A real nice afternoon relaxation under the shade of the trees.

The foreshore is presently undergoing a new retaining wall construction at the water's edge. The foreshore area is reclaiming part of the estuary where it is quite shallow near the northern end. Still OK for the playground and other things but you cannot get to the water's edge. Will be great when finished. Why not go onto the City of Mandurah website and have your say.
