I pass this well known local landmark every day on the way to work and it never loses it's appeal. You often see tourists taking pictures and selfies with "the dog" and it does have any uncanny likeness to a dog's head. When in Albany get down to Dog Rock and get your photo!

a must see in Albany they have even painted a collar on the rock. Kids would love it and it is in the centre of town.

I think every traveller to Albany must stop to take a photo of "Dog Rock" - it is certainly unusual and BIG.

Just cannot miss the opportunity to get a photo of this granite rock, which has a dog collar painted on it. There are shops nearby at Woolworth shopping centre

Well you just CAN"T come to Albany and not get your photo of this icon. Being near Woolworths shopping Centre, you have palking and shopping available. You can stay over the road at the Dog Rock Motel. Overseas visitors love this granite outcrop formed by Nature. Other granite outcrops can be admired in the council park over the road. A... More

In the centre of town adjacent to one of the main roads is Dog Rock, it has parking near by and worth a few minutes to stop and take a photo.

A huge rock in the middle of town that looks like the head of a dog. A collar has been painted adding to the effect.
