A Rock that looks like a Dog!!

I had a visitor from the UK (She was 70 years old - wearing a tee shirt that said SOD 70) who would squeal with delight every time we went past it)

This giant granite rock does indeed look like a dog when viewed from the right angle, and it has been painted to make it look like it has a collar. It's neat to see once, and probably good for a tourist photo, but other than that it's not that exciting. There are many nicer attractions to see when visiting Albany;... More

Near the main shopping centre, it's not really a tourist "thing" like it was when I was a kid but it is still cool.

Not much to say beyond the obvious. Makes for a cute picture. Watch out for distracted tourists to avoid traffic accidents.

What more can you say it's a rock that looks like a dog (from one way). The kids weren't too eager on it when I said we would go see it but after that they won't stop saying lets see dog rock. I now regret that decision a bit.

A giant granite rock, shaped like a dogs head, which my kids found very amusing as it looked just like our dog! Never seen anything like it so worth a look whilst in Albany, you cant miss it on Middleton Rd quite close to the center of town.

This view you don't need to park the car and just drive pass, easy and simple. I went there because it was stated as a natural rock formed like a dog.
