A huge rock in the middle of town that looks like the head of a dog. A collar has been painted adding to the effect.

The truly amazing thing about this rock is that it is a natural formation that looks just like a dog's head. Someone has even painted a collar on it. It must be seen to be believed and it is completely free.

A huge rock at the side of the road which looked like a dog's head at an angle. Great place to stop for a picture. Next to this rock are a few shops (mini mart). Be careful of cars as this rock is next to the road.

Dog Rock could have been a top attraction but sadly the commercial development surrounding it detracts from the experience. It could still be saved by planting a LOT of trees so fingers crossed for its future.

You must drive by this tourist attraction..along Albany Hway to roundabout. Go straight through to Middleton Road, turn left and you are almost there..parking is difficult so for safety reasons drive by and check out possible area and come back for a photo..

Almost missed it until I saw the cute dog collar drawn on the stone. Parked at the nearby dog rock area and it's quite a cute place to take a few candid shots.

We stayed here on the recommendation of family. A warm welcome on reception and the lady was very helpful advising us of places to visit. Room was large, bed comfy and very clean (they had just finished the refurbishment). Basic comfort, no views, easy walk into the town and overall good value for money.

Drop by if really got nowhere to go. There are some shops and free parking nearby as well. There is a hotel in front of the rock and it was pretty expensive.

There is no way of stress to see this place. It lies on the street while travelling to EMu point. Not much attractive but still a place to see in Albany.

My low score is not a criticism but it is just a rock. As the name suggests, Dog Rock is a large rock similarly-shaped to a dog's head. It's centrally located in the town (yes, I know it's called a city but it's always felt like a lovely country coastal town to me) with a hotel and shopping centre of... More
