1. Take clothing and wear footwear to be really warm and dry if it rains 2. Pre purchase tickets to avoid queues 3. Upgrade your ticket to Penguin Plus - if so arrive 45 minutes prior to the parade to hear the ranger talk. It's where most of the penguins come in and is far less crowded 4. Walk to... More

The penguins were cute and it was great to see them emerging from the water but it was quite dark and they were hard to see. It had been raining earlier so all the plank seats were already wet when we arrived and you had to sit or you would be in the way of every body else so right... More

I loved watching the penguins 12 years ago that I decided to go and visit them again in the year 2013. The viewing location I chose this time was better than last time. So its best to purchase the penguin plus. The general viewing area not so much. They ban all visitors from taking pictures of the penguins because visitors... More

You need to arrive and be seated before the parade begins. For may we were there 545 and it was a cold and miserable evening You can purchase $5 plastic ponchos which were useful when it started to sprinkle. General viewing $21 each is sitting on concrete steps and the parade lasts about an hour although you could leave if... More

They do a good thing there for the Penguins, but for vieuwing them you might as well go to the zoo. It takes a lot of waiting and when they arrive out the surf they are hard to see and are gone in a couple seconds, if you are not on the front row you will not see them coming... More

It was raining and cold but I'm so glad we went. Hundreds of the little guys came up onto the beach and they walk so far to get to their burrows on those little legs. We were told no photos and yet some people still felt it was necessary to take photos. Anyway they were asked to leave. So don't.... More

Went to Penguin Parade when i was at philips island during march for holidays. i can tell you that the view of the penguin waddling back to it's nest is really amazing and you couldn't get much mesmerize by the scene of it. My mum went to pat the back of a small little penguin near the sideway, although that... More

I would always recommend going for the Penguin Plus Option and pay the extra money. Not only do you experience this amazing phenomenon with fewer people, but the little penguins actually can be seen all the way while they walk onto to the beach and either up the hills or along the beach. It is so much fun watching the... More

We made a decision to drive to Phillip Island and stay overnight to see the Penguin Parade, well worth it a truly beautiful experience! We opted for the Penquins Plus experience and it's great to have choices. From the moment we arrived we received so much friendly help from everyone working there from the rangers to the lovely cafe staff,... More

My wife was looking forward to this experience and it was the most disappointing thing we did in Australia. We decided to make it a special occasion and do the Ultimate Penguin Experience which is not cheap (especially fro Brits). It's a small group which gets a briefing (classroom lecture) in a private room which was ok and they then... More
