The woman was unhelpful, seemed it was a real effort, put us off, looked at the motel on the point not value for money, moved on from Bicheno! Other visitor's centres were excellent and most helpful particularly in Strahan, very disappointed at Bischeno.

Lady there recommended we take this tour and best $20 (per adult) you will ever spend. Owner Petraya loves his craft and makes the 50 minute tour very entertaining - he could/should charge more. Pity it doesn't come up when searching within Trip Advisor for "Bicheno Glass Bottom Boat"

Arriving 5 minutes before closing Tracey in the information office had us,after a few different budget options, booked into a fabulous cabin at the holiday park. As we arrived on a public holiday she told us where was open for food and a quick orientation to the area. We had been advised by the equally fabulous and chatty(!!!) dawn in... More

The lady working the information center is only there to book you rooms and charge you extra for doing so. Not at all helpful. We asked where we could access the internet and she sent us to a internet office that was closed. She then sent us to a hotel that did not have free internet but 4 hours for... More

It is worthwhile going here as the staff are friendly and the information provided is good. They have a lot of good advice and can assist in tips for areas such as Wineglass bay and Doulas Apsley National Park.

The lady at the counter was very friendly helping with all our enquiries. There is a small fee to pay when you use the centre to make bookings though.

We booked a penguin tour at the visitor centre. Very friendly and helpful service. We went back in the next day and bought a soft toy for each of our two children, On the trip home back on the mainland our son lost his soft toy...with many tears when we got home. We rang the centre and Fiona was very... More

This is a small information centre but the staff member was very knowledgeable about the region. She was welcoming and cheerful and gave good advice on the range of activities that were of interest to us. She was helpful in attempting to secure a booking for us with an operator whose office was not responding. When I later contacted that... More
