Fees are invested into ongoing research and conservation efforts and through these efforts we hope to preserve the natural habitat of a wild Australian sea lion colony for generations to come. Our tours are designed to suit a wide variety of visitors - you can stay all day if you want to! There are no enclosures or cages at Seal Bay. Instead, you will be taken into the heart of the colony where our experienced guides will teach you more about these endangered animals. Visitors given a unique insight into how these endangered animals fish, surf, rest, interact with their pups and defend their territory. If you prefer, you can set your own pace on the wheelchair accessible 300 metre boardwalk which meanders through the dunes to a number of viewing platforms. « less

Great infrastructure in place, seems to be non intrusive as the animals went with their life in a relaxed manner...keep your friends and family close

We went on the guided tour and it was very interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. We found the cost of entry was a bit on the steep side for a family ticket but we would visit again.

Such a unique experience, to walk so close to the seals, learn about their habits, and observe their interactions with each other. We could have stayed for hours! Thank you Gaynor, and Exceptional Kangaroo Island tours - for a spectacular day!

The guided tour brings us up and close to the seals at the beach, and the guide was really friendly and keen to share her knowledge on the seals. It's my second time joining the tour (first time was a few years back), and I would highly recommend for any visitors to go for the guided tour!

Hands down this should be the top place to go to at Kangaroo Island. There's a fee associated with it plus an extra fee to walk down closer to the beach with a guide. My family ended up hiring a private guide so we won't subject to the timeline of the park guides. Either way, this should be a must... More

Had a great time on the Tour down on the beach watching the seals play in the waves and clamber along the beach

Pay a little extra to do the guided walk - they tell you lots of facts about the sea lions and take you down onto the beach to be amongst them. Great experience for children!

Very easy to get close to the seals. And there are many seals to be seen!! The boardwalk allows you to get very close to them.

Good set up to see the sea lions but not very many there that day. As it is wild nature that is the chance you take. But $15 is a fair bit to pay for a distance glimpse of a handful of sea lions.

Glorious. Fascinating guided tour gave the opportunity to get right up close to the sea lions. Friendly, knowledgeable and passionate wildlife wardens and a beautiful, unspoiled setting. Do not miss this if you're on Kangaroo Island.
