Fees are invested into ongoing research and conservation efforts and through these efforts we hope to preserve the natural habitat of a wild Australian sea lion colony for generations to come. Our tours are designed to suit a wide variety of visitors - you can stay all day if you want to! There are no enclosures or cages at Seal Bay. Visitors given a unique insight into how these endangered animals fish, surf, rest, interact with their pups and defend their territory. If you prefer, you can set your own pace on the wheelchair accessible 300 metre boardwalk which meanders through the dunes to a number of viewing platforms. « less

Walked along the boardwalk. Plenty of info and the staff in the centre were great. Saw heaps of seals just sun baking on the beach and a few pups playing in the shallow water. All in all a great day

We took the guided tour, plus able to do the boardwalk as well. Our guide Mel was very experienced with knowledge on not just the seals but other pieces of info on other subjects on the environment and other attractions etc. We'll worth the cost.

Get yourself a park pass which will get you in to all the attractions in Flinders chase National park. Do the guided tour which will get you nice close to the seals and learn about the seals. Do the boardwalk as well.

You have to see Seal Bay to believe it! You get so close to these magnificent creatures and they are beautiful! We were lucky enough to see a huge male come up in the surf and launch himself up the beach while we were there!

Seal Bay Conservation Park is an amazing experience. Walk along the beach and enjoy the sea lions while the ranger/guide shares a wealth of knowledge about these amazing creatures. The tour guide Mary-Alice was extremely informative and you could tell she was very passionate about her role. We saw heaps and heaps of seals. Early September was an excellent time to visit.

We took the guided tour to see the sea lions up close from the beach and definitely thought it worthwhile. The guide was very knowledgeable - not just about seals and sea lions but about the other wildlife on the beach, too. It's also worth walking around he boardwalks, especially for an overview of the 'pathways' into the dune vegetation.

Our first stop on our recent trip to K.I. We weren't sure about doing the guided tour(pricey) or just paying to use the board walk.We decided to use the boardwalk and were very impressed with how long it was and how close we got to the seals. The view is just stunning and there were seals everywhere.Good choice!!!

We decided to pay the extra money for a guided tour and it was worth every cent! The guide was very knowledgable, friendly and obviously loved her job! With a guided tour you get to go on the beach to be close up to the sea lions. The tour is 45 minutes, but went really quickly as being within 10... More

Excellent set up and easy access to the seals. We did the guided tour and it was amazing to get so close to the seals. Informative guides and beautiful beach. It was the first warm day coming out of winter so the seals had moved from the dunes to the beach. It was great to see them in their natural... More
