    Amazing time
We had a fantastic time at Scenic world, we are from Sydney and it is really something that everyone should come and do! Different things you can do is great, it was very well staffed and operated. However a few little things nearly ruined our day - Appreciate we were there on a Saturday and it was busy, there were numerous European tourists that had no hesitation pushing and shoving to get onto the skyway and cable car. I think management could find a far better way to get a better queuing system happening. I literally had to hold my kids by the arms and even then one nearly got bowled over by some random lady thinking she could beat us onto the cable car to get a better view. Very difficult for families to stay together and people who do the right thing and wait in line get punished. Secondly, there is a very minimal percentage of people wearing masks. I’m quite sure the random European tourists came from a cruise ship and particularly waiting for the skyway there was absolutely no way to social distance from these people, especially with staff telling you to move up to get more people into the area immediately next to skyway entry. One of them wanted to stand between me and my husband and I had to literally push them away. If at all possible come to this amazing place early and on a less busy day if at all possible. Bring a mask and be prepared to fight for your life should there be any scary European tourists around. Even after all that it was a worthwhile visit.

    Scenic World fits it well
Took a train as a day trip from Sydney. So glad we did. It was easy to navigate. The kids loved the Gruffalo walk and had so much fun. The trams and skyways were a fun and unique way to see beautiful land.

    GREAT EXPERIENCE
The last time I visited the scenic railway I had 3 small children and boy oh boy has it changed. It is so different. To start with there are now 3 rides to go on the cable car the skyrail and the scenic rail. You have to buy an combined ticket. No single ticket rides anymore but in saying that it is unlimited amount of rides and you can stay all day if you want. There is a concession rate which works out to be $15 each ride . It was worth experiencing the differences that have happened. You now have a commentator who will give you the scenic talk (if you forgive the pun). They were all very good, young but professional and friendly. There is now a huge souvenir shop, a cafe on the 2nd floor and an eatery on the 3rd floor. Prices are comparable to any tourist attraction. There is a life for those of us with a mobility issue for two of the rides and the cafe n eatery but ifnyou want to go on the scenic rail there are steps. Now I did this very slowly and by myself but it was manageable just, but there is no provision for wheelchair or walkers to get down there , then when you get to the bottom of thos stairs, there are others stairs depending where you want to sit, if you want the front of the car then you have more stairs if you are happy at the back which I was then there is only 2 or 3 wide steps to manage. There are no seats on the cable car or skyrail so be prepared to stand for the journey which is no more than 10 mins up n back. It is a great experience . There are great views from the cafe and eatery which are worth a look and to take photos.

A must visit when in Sydney!
We visited this resort which has a cable car from the bus stop to the resort with spectacular views if the Katoomba Falls and valleys and mountains together with the 3 sisters rick formation. Once there you can travel on the steepest train (in the world) to the valley where there is a rain Forrest walk on raised platforms to the cable car back to the main area. There are restaurants and shops with spectacular views if the 3 sisters and the mountain ranges. Al's top tips Don't bother booking expensive trips from Sydney, just catch the train from Central to Katoomba. Outside the station is a Big Bus tour shop. Speak to Roland for the best trip advice. Depending on how much time you want to spend there. The big bus ticket included the cost of entry to scenic world so don't pay twice! The big bus hop on and hop off is ideal for exploring the area. There are plenty of hikes and the footpaths are also lit up at night. There are a selection of places to eat before catching the train back to Sydney. They run late into the night.

    Great day!
I absolutely loved scenic world and it is a great option if you want to see some of the sights (three sisters) without any strenuous hikes etc. I did all 3 rides and it made the experience all the more fun! There are walks you can do from each of the locations and they vary time wise- different options for what you’d be looking for. I opted for the shorter 10/15 minute walks and still got to see some amazing views. I am a solo traveller and didn’t feel comfortable exploring without a guide etc so I felt that I really got to experience the Blue Mountains whilst feeling comfortable! Staff are super nice and helpful, especially at the check in counter! I would suggest to book in advance and make sure you’re there at the time you booked, as you can’t go in any earlier.

    Easy alternative to hiking
We visited on Good Friday & expected long queues arriving at 11.15, but were pleasantly surprised. Apart from the 10-15 minute walk from the base of the railway to the cableway, we didn’t do any of the hikes, so completed the railway, cableway & skyway in 90 minutes. Once inside you can ride each of the 3 attractions multiple times if you want to. The railway is a very short ride, partly in a tunnel, so the views aren’t great, but the cableway and skyway both offer great views. You could get similar views for free if you are prepared to hike, but this is the easy way out and as such reasonable value even though we were only there about 2 to 2.5 hours.

    Great day out for Everyone.
Thankfully I booked tickets in advance as it was sold out on my day to walk ins. They were expecting 6000 people on the day which may have been because of the Easter Long weekend, but I would recommend booking tickets early as there can be. Lines for the Train, and Cable Car. They do move very quickly however but if you are the first in, the wait is very short. There are lots of trails you can move around through depending on abilities but access around is very easy. There is a cafe and restaurant but if you want to pack your own lunch, there is an outside area you can sit at to eat while you take in the views. I highly recommend!

    A great experience
We visited Scenic World just for the experience and we were not disappointed. It offers short rides, of a few minutes each, on three different modes. One is the steepest railway anywhere in the world, the Scenic Railway. Another is the cable car, Scenic Cableway, and the third one is the Scenic Skyway car. All are really amazing experiences. They offer spectacular views that take your breath away. The experience includes nature walks around the National Park which are truly amazing. You discover new things as you walk through. There are also exhibits of what used to be a coal mine in the area. A real surprise! You can take as many rides as you like and you can stay the whole day if you want.

    Beautiful Scenery
Our friend in Sydney brought us here to show off the beautiful Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters Rocks. The scenery is excellent with such great views from the visitor center. We had lunch at the Cafe, which was quite good but a bit on the more expensive side. There is also a coffee bar. We did not have time to take some of the tours offered but would have loved to do so. It's well worth the trip from Sydney.

    Well worth the visit
First time we had visited since 1999 so a vastly more modern experience than my previous memories. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 3 different experiences were so much fun and made our day fun and interesting. They have excellent facilities including a free multi level car park which was a very positive surprise. We only got to have 1 trip on everything with the time we had so if you want more than that I suggest getting there before lunchtime. Defiantly made some delightful memories.

Whilste we loved the 3 rides, it was a bit expensive considering the numbers they must get there 3 - 4 minutes was the average time on each of the 3 rides. Expensive for a large family buy at the same time great fun. Loved the railway and walk in the rainforrest. Be aware that some areas are closed off at the moment so the time spent is shorter than usual. the staff very friendly, the cafe not good if you want to eat healthy.

We went there on a Sunday and were already met with a 40 minute queue just to enter the ticket sale centre (even though we bought tickets online. The Blue mountains are a beautiful place mind you, but this scenic world is ridiculously overpriced for what it deliveres. We paid $143 for a two adults and one child and the attractions were disappointing to say the least. We were told that the Skyway trip was good to do early as it can get some long queues later in the afternoon. We were also told that if we wanted, we could stay inside the cabin and return immediately so we could go down into the valley afterwards for the rainforest walk. But after 45mins waiting in queue with a 5 year old, the Skyway trip took 5 minutes and we were all told to exit at the other end because it had people waiting, and then had to queue again inorder to get back to point the centre. So again another 30 min wait inorder to get back. Then we wanted to start the Gruffalo walk but were told that the Skyrail had a 40 min wait to get down. We took the Cableway down instead which had a much shorter queue but was at the other end of the centres so there was a lot of walking back and forwards through big crowds of people. It took us to the Gruffalo walk which our daughter enjoyed, but the app was bit flimsy and slow so it quickly became quite tedious to do. Other than that there was nothing exciting to see at the bottom. They've put some plastic fake mushrooms and hung plastic butterflies in between the trees for the children to see as everything looks the same in the rainforest below. We found it not worth our while and way overpriced. If going to the Blue Mountains we recommend doing the free stuff there ie. parking close to the Three Sisters and admiring the view and perhaps going for the trek there and then saving your money and spend it on a nice lunch instead.

This would have to be one of the rudest attractions we've ever visited. Arriving on a Monday morning we waited 20 minutes in the line for cash sales to have the people ahead of us pointedly ignored in favour of those with Internet-purchased tickets. The sale clerk pointedly looked away and beckoned towards the few people in the pre-sale line when anyone in our line tried to gain her attention.

It turns out that there was no option to do just one attraction - the Scenic Railway which we had visited and enjoyed some years previously. Sorry paying to ride a cablecar in dense mist did not seem like a good deal which is what we wanted to do given the heavy mist on the day of our visit.

From the other negative reviews, I'd say avoid this attraction and go round to the free walks and view which we did.

Sorry, this experience left a foul taste in our mouths. It appears to be set up to extract money on the company's terms with little thought for ordinary families or those who have previously enjoyed the attractions.

Avoid unless you really want to do this or like being fleeced.

Not the scenic world’s fault however due to covid restrictions what would normally be a day of activities is shrunk to 1 hour with 60 people max group which is good however the price should be adjusted as a result.

$160 for a family of 4 for 1 hour is excessive given that you can only do the main 3 things and a very small rainforest walk. Stunning place wish could have spent more time there wandering around.

Ever want to pay 50 bucks to go get crowded into a terrible ride with 50 people well this is your place! You can wait on the normal 40 minute wait scenic train for 30 seconds of a ride oh yeah don’t forget the 20 minute wait for a bootleg skyline where your crammed in like tuna in a can. Don’t forget when you wait for the railway and the train they spray you in mist in a way of saying we are greedy screw you give us your money go once get wet get annoyed leave never come back not even the walk is calm because so many people are here. If your going to do the “10 minute walk” its more like a 2 minute one oh yeah the railway is worse then the skyline it stinks 200 people are smashed into one room and good luck getting service at the cafe or even getting in would not recommend because of terrible service no enjoyment and terrible location isolated from sydney

We visited the park as part of the bus tour with Gray Line Sydney. The park offers 3 “rides”: cablecar, railway and skyway. All are pretty cool. We also did a walk through the bush forest which was very educational. There are signs posted explaining various bishes/trees, how they grow etc. The views are breathtaking. The gift shops at the park in my opinion had slightly better prices then Featherdale Wildlife Park (which was our first stop on this bus tour). You can get a small discount for some drinks with the tour company. I highly recommend to visit the park if you are in Sydney.
We visited the park with kids ages 6 and 8, the park was very interesting to them, despite a lot of walking
There is a historical coal mine in the bush forest as well.

Had a really enjoyable time at scenic world, however I would prefer if you were able to pick and choose if you want to do one/two of the attractions rather than having to do them all - it's just pretty pricey.... The red train up/down to the rainforest floor is super fun though - definitely the highlight. The yellow skyway across the ravine was terrifying. The day we went, it could only go half way across due to high winds. Walking through the rainforest was pretty nice actually. Felt like you were somewhere completely different. The cable car is alright - you may as well get your money's worth and go on it.

It was a delight to visit Scenic World today not long after reopening following a 3 month closure due to COVID-19. They have done such a great job of adapting to the new restrictions and health guidance while creating an amazing experience at the same time. I actually enjoyed it more than our last visit - no lines, no pushy patrons to contend with and very happy, engaged and accommodating employees. Well done to the Scenic World team!

I had come from interstate and bought early morning advanced tickets including the meal tickets for my family and myself. The place was overcrowded all day with long waits on all three rides, some up to one hour. Lunch took half an hour to order. The assistant did tell us it would take 40 minutes for the food to be ready. However, I had no choice because I had already bought meal tickets. The food actually took over 80 minutes to be ready. I had driven 10 hours from Victoria to NSW expecting a nice relaxing holiday. I was not expecting to pay over $300 to stand in lines for half a day and 2 hours in the cafeteria for my family and I to get our food. It was especially difficult sitting in the cafeteria waiting for the food with three hungry kids. The Blue Mountain itself is beautiful but I suggest you skip Scenic World, where they oversell tickets they can’t cope with.

Visited May 2021 and the only option available to visitors arriving at the main entrance at this time was to go on and pay for all the rides rather than having a choice of the 4 Discovery Options (Scenic Railway, Scenic Skyway, Scenic Cableway, Scenic Walkway). One adult and one concession came to c. $96 which was okay for the experience. The steepest passenger train was good as you can adjust the seat to one of three incline settings, though the trip is over rather quickly and now that it is glassed in it does not feel as exciting as it was years back when it was a more open cage carriage and you could feel the fresh air rush. Liked the views towards the Three Sisters, especially from the Scenic Skyway where there is also a good view of Katoomba Falls. Enjoyed the circuit boardwalk through peaceful tall temperate rainforest with some nice views towards the sandstone cliffs. And got to see a Lyrebird scampering around. Be prepared for some queuing for the rides.

In the main centre there is a café, outdoor and indoor eating areas with views and a touristy gift shop. Public bus goes regularly from Katoomba Street and you can also take in Echo Point via bus. Walking to Echo Point from Katoomba is fine for walkers but getting to Scenic World is a bit more tricky negotiating the road in places. Scenic World is one of the easier ways to see part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage. There are also many other scenic views, activities and bushwalks.
