We were looking for an overnight hike as part of our 2 week visit from the UK to see friends in Sydney. Research had given a few companies offering various walks, hikes etc. I emailed the company and within 24 hours had a response. Initially we wanted to do the Secret Hike, which sounds absolutely fabulous, but after we had... More

Mal S forgot to say about the sandwiches which were enormous but just what we needed. Homemade cakes as well. Plus we had freshly made tea with a viewpoint. Yes, the walking and sightseeing were great. Wish it could have been longer.

Hi Josylin, Yes I often look at those sandwiches and think 'Good Grief! They are a overwhelming' though after a big walk and lots of energy spent they are definitely what you need to refuel and keeping going! So pleased you enjoyed your day. Thanks again for choosing Blue Mountains Guides! Katie More

A great day out with Daryl. Great walk down some little used tracks. Lots of information about the flora, fauna and geology. What's not to like?

Looking for the perfect tour to spend a day in the blue mountains, I searched the interenet and found this small organisation, offering daywalks through the blue mountains AWAY from the tourist tracks. I didn´t want the typical touristic programm of the three sisters and scenic world and that´s it. I wanted to get my hiking shoes out, climb over... More

Dear Alexandra, We are so pleased you speak so highly of your walk as a solo client. Daryl is always happy to get out for a walk with good company. Ruined Castle really does show off the differing ecosystems of The Blue Mountains through a relatively small area. The mist lifting through the trees is a magical outlook from the... More

Although we live in Sydney, we had yet to do more serious bushwalking in the Blue Mountains. This was the perfect way to do it. Daryl is a skilled and knowledgeable guide, and is able to customise your experience to both skills and interests. For us, we were lucky to have a one-on-one experience through the Jameson Valley on an... More

Dear Julianna, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. It was our first time participating in Parks Week and we are so pleased you took advantage of a great offer to get out in your own backyard. The mist really adds a magical element to The Blue Mountains views though the waterfall system that runs... More

We were originally booked (by a travel agent) on a coach tour from Sydney for the day. As a more adventurous couple, we decided sitting on a bus all day and waiting for everyone to get on/off a bus was not for us. After a little searching and a quick call to Blue Mountain Guides, we knew we made the... More

I have to say i wasn't expecting much from these few days in the Blue Mountains because of what people told me about this place: "nothing to do, nothing to see" was pretty much what i've heard all the time... Well it was before i met Daryl !!! We had a chat about what i like and what I was... More

Dear Loic and all the family, It was a pleasure to take you all out over the Christmas period. Being able to do several different day walks allowed us to showcase the diversity of The Blue Mountains. Discussing your interests and expectations on email and creating your tour package for the three days was made easy as Anne Marie knew... More

Dear Teresa, So glad to know you'll be coming back. The small trip between NZ and Aus seems to get smaller all the time. The nature of our tours allows us to be flexible with how much you can see in one day. Depending on your fitness level and if time allows, at the completion of a hike, we do... More

I was traveling on business solo and wanted to see the Blue Mountains. Daryl was willing to work around my schedule and do an overnight camping trip and hikes over both days. We hit a storm when I arrived, so Daryl took me to a wonderful new museum on the Blue Mountains while it poured and we managed to wait... More

Dear Tricia, Yes you found your timing to Sydney and The Blue Mountains in a very strange weather pattern with over a week with daily thunderstorms. The weather gave Daryl a great opportunity to show you The Cultural Centre with the fantastic permanent exhibition of The Blue Mountains Heritage National Park. We were glad the weather cleared and your enthusiasm... More

Great service and genuinely nice guides! I wasn't on a tour, but a couple of friends and I had parked our cars, unbeknowst around 8km away from the start of a hiking track, by the time we were heading back on the trail we were into the late afternoon and had passed Daryl on our way to our hiking destination....
