I did the Sheep Dip and Rocky Creek canyoning, and it was worth the money. I booked last minute, and the staff did an awesome job helping me pick which tour I wanted to do. The day of, the guide did a wonderful job making everyone feel safe and comfortable. All necessary gear is provided (they even have sneakers if... More

I planned this for myself and my two teenage girls - 15 and 13 - and we had a great time. Yes there were some frustrations and tears but they were not the fault of BMAC and indeed enhanced the experience. We were truly challenged and loved the overall experience of our Sheep Dip and Rocky Canyon experience. Once the... More

Thank you so much for your honest review. We endeavour to make sure that everyone is on the right experience for them, from beginner to extreme, but it is a challenge when people have different ideas of what extreme means. We're glad that the challenge turned in to a positive for you and that you have gone home with some... More

I'd never abseiled before nor canyoned and my goal is to do Claustral Canyon. I had to start somewhere to get my skills up so I chose this introductory package and I'm glad I did. It was a great day. Two thumbs up Matty!

Awesome. And thanks for the review! We will of course do our best to tee you up with a Claustral Canyon adventure soon. It's a big day and you'll definitely appreciate the training you had in Empress Canyon. Thanks for sharing the photo too - always appreciated. More

As a last minute decision, my partner and I decided to book with BMAC to go canyoning - I usually go with friends, but they were unavailable (mid week, some poor people have to work). So I managed to get onto Courtney at BMAC at around 2pm the afternoon before, while walking through the National Pass at Wentworth Falls. Despite... More

Just finished the Fortress Creek canyoning tour today and had an absolute blast! Our guide Greg was easy going and very knowledgeable. I felt safe at all times, and the equipment was all in good condition. The included lunch was more than enough with three sandwiches, a muffin as well as some tea! I would 100% recommend BMAC if you're... More

Thank you for your review - Greg is an old hand at outdoor adventuring, but a relatively recent addition to our team. It's great to hear this feedback. Fortress is renown for its great views enjoyed with cups of tea after a good workout and we're glad you liked it. We're also looking to upgrade our lunch even more in... More

We went up to katoomba for two days to expressly have a go at canyoning as a way of introducing the kids to the Blue Mountains. Had booked with BMAC to do the Rocky/Sheep Dip combo for me and three younger daughters and nieces aged 9, 13 and 16. Arrived at BMACs offices and introduced to our guide for the... More

Thanks for sharing some photos from your day and taking the time to write such an exhaustive story! I caught up with Chey (it is a tough one to spell) when he got back from this trip and he really enjoyed his day. We're glad that we were able to make the call to change to another adventure, and that... More

Went on a canyoning trip with my boyfriend with BMAC, and we were paired up with another group of two. Experience with BMAC was wonderful all the way through: from being really helpful over email inquiry to having fantastic guides on the outing. John led us through a great canyoning trip into the North Bowens and shared with us a... More

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. You chose a beautiful trip. North Bowens is quite stunning and our groups are never bigger than 8 participants with 2 guides - so it makes for a nice intimate day out in the wild. The round trip from Sydney is definitely achievable in a day via public transport,... More

We joined BMAC guides Cairo and Che and another six canyoners for this trip. What a terrific way to spend Australia Day: water jumping, abseiling down waterfalls and scrambling through the deep gorges of the Blue Mountains. The walk out is steep but not unenjoyable, especially if you stop from time to time to look out at the beautiful valley... More

Thanks Karina. Butterbox is a favourite for many of the guides because of the number of abseils and the awesome views all day (especially on the walk out!). Chey won the 2013 Young Customer Service Employee of the Year for the regional Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon Tourism awards, and Cairo won Employee of the Year at the same function.... More

The majority of the reviews below deal with clients who are entering canyons and rappelling/abseiling for the first time. As the reviews show, BMAC is well suited for these folks: the guides are informative, personable, patient, and safety-oriented. Less represented are comments from more experienced canyoneers. From this angle, BMAC also excels. I just finished hammering out several of the... More
