wondrous whale watching

Absolutely a must see, children were almost as exstatic as hubby. They are telling anyone who will listen, about what an awesome experience it was.

What a wonderful crew working on the Amaroo. All workers were friendly and worked hard to make our trip out from Forster an awesome adventure. Although we had to go a long way out to sea we felt perfectly safe as we followed a pod of whales. The skipper followed the whales for as long as possible so all passengers... More

TursdY 30 June 2015 will never be forgotten. Fabulous weather teamed with a friendly professional crew ensured we had the best chance possible to see and learn about whale behaviour - and did we ever! The whales were quickly located by the captain's excellent spotters and the commentary given throughout kept us all captivated and intrigued. As if on cue... More

Wow is the best way to describe today's cruise!! I've been on several trips out to watch the whales and today was by far the best! Whales breaching and playing everyehere we looked! Matt the skipper was great and let us stay longer than we were supposed to as it was so hard to leave the interactive pod. Even on... More

Five whales breaching and tail thumping and generally playing about the boat was more than we expected. Add to this a hundred or so dolphins playing all around us on the way home. Our group of four left the Amaroo excited and exhilarated. Commentary was excellent, as was the interaction with all the crew. Thank you for a wonderful experience,... More

Went on Amaroo whale watching cruise Tuesday June 30. The lake was absolutely crystal clear allowing great fish, sting-Ray, and wobby-gong(?) sighting. Right from clearing the heads the Amaroo team, under full steam, powered toward the reported whale sighting. We were not disappointed. The first pod of 3 humpbacks were cruising along nicely and finally met up with another pod... More

This is the second time we've cruised with the Amaroo. Matt and his crew are fantastic, informative and fun. We have gone on whale watching cruises in several places in NSW and the Amaroo has been the best hands down every time. Don't miss out, it's well worth it.

We joined the Sunday cruise departing at 10am - very friendly greetings by crew - Matt was the skipper today - nice new vessel too, just on 12 months old - cat so rides well in most conditions. Leisurely trip out through the heads with a cup of tea. Fair swell today but not great problems - difficult for a... More
