Shute harbour is a small picturesque harbour that is very well protected from the open sea. Several large Fantasea ferries and other smaller boats are moored there. Wide jetties allow passengers to easily board the boats. Shade cover over waiting areas is great sun protection and also useful in case of rain. More

Its the main harbour near to Airlie Beach. You can take ferries to different islands from here. Well maintained harbour with some expensive boats, water taxis, and cruises. More

As the departure / arrival point to one of the world's most beautiful areas's Shute Harbour is an eyesore! More

Expect a cab ride to cost $25-30 from Airlie Beach to get to Shute Harbour. If you have a choice of booking a tour or ferry from Shute Harbour or Able Point Marina - definitely go out of Able Point. More

Strolling along Shute Harbour and stopping at the many cafes or restaurants. The weather and friendly locals add greatly to the atmosphere. More

This is where you will leave for most of your boat transfers or day tours, I have always found the staff to be friendly and courteous. The water here is so beautiful, I love being there as I know I am going somewhere fab from there. More
