Definitely do the sea kayaking tour

Not a prime tourist destination but is a great stepping stone to do the sea kayaking around the bay. Then it is worth the trip

This was THE harbour some twenty years ago, now it is just about derelict, the huge jetty complex is now closed and padlocked. But the area is stunningly beautiful and a short drive from Airlie Beach on a good bitumen road.

Shute Harbor is locared just a short scenic bus trip or drive through the beautiful tropical hills of Jubilee pocket and is "a buzzing marine transit facility" and the gateway to your heavenly holiday or playful backpacking adventure or family escape in far north Queensland Australia. Shute Harbor is the departure point for when you are traveling to any one... More

If you are holidaying with your car, it is worth a drive out. If your without a car, don't waste your time or money. There is really nothing to see or do here. Don't say I didn't warn you!...

Went on the local bus to the marina but there is no activity everything was shuts down we would have like to be able to walk around and have a coffee or something. There was no one there and nothing to do and seemed very isolated.

Another beautiful area by Airlie beach , all very close and convenient to walk around. Nothing to dislike about it.

Shute Harbour is a gateway to the Whitsundays. Just beautiful and a great place to visit. First went there 9 years ago, back again 4 years ago and just about to go again for the third time.

Visited Shute Harbour about 08.30 one morning in early February. Shotgun city. Saw two people sitting on a bench and one person rinsing wet suits. This really is not a holiday destination and the only reason to visit is to catch a ferry to one of the islands, or hire a sailing boat. The road to/from the Harbour is good.

Look this is ok but at the end of the day its just a harbour and thats it. It is pretty and definitely worth a look but there are better harbours.
