We had an excellent day, the crew was very helpful and kind. The places we snorkelled were very nice and we've been able to snorkel with turtles and other marine life. There was enough food during the day and the complimentary drinks are sufficient unless you drink alcoholic drinks that are more expensive (you receive aud$10 credit when boarding: beer... More

We booked the trip last minute as all other boats were full. But all the locals who we told we were going on the derwent hunter told us we made a good choice as they all loved the ship. And this was exactly our experience as well. A nice relaxing sail tour on an old tall ship. The crew of... More

No better way to see the Whitsunday Islands. Our skipper Nina and her crew made the day unforgetable. They were kind, attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging and observing safety at all times. Every promise was fulfilled and exceeded. Two wonderful spots for snorclling with plenty of marine life, excellent fresh and tasty meals and we had luck with the wind to sail.... More

Taking the pace out of life is easy to do in Airlie Beach but a sail on the Derwent Hunter offers an insight as to why that pace exists. Josh, the Captain, and his crew took us through the varied history of this iconic Tall Ship as we sailed to Black Island Reef (Bali Hai, as it is now named... More

We booked the Derwent Hunter trip at the last minute and from the very first enquiry we were delighted with the day. Unlike other tours - the team were super responsive and friendly and advised us of the best day to book (we had 25 on the boat and it was ideal - takes up to 39 I think -... More

Awesome day with this very professional & friendly crew of the Derwant Hunter. Especially loved the beautiful banquet laid on, the pesto & cashew pasta salad was a hit being a vegetarian served with a lovely smile from the talented cook. Cheers from Chris & Liz Sunday 25th Oct 2015.

Unfortunately the day I went out on the tour the weather was awful, however, in saying that thank god the staff were lovely as they made the experience a whole lot better. You will be taken to different locations to snorkel, I went to Black Island (Bali Hai) and to Caves Cove on Hook Island. The staff are knowledgeable which... More

This is a nice boat and on this tour the snorkelling was better than the overpriced and overcrowded 'Reef Adventure' from Cruise Whitsundays that we did the day before. This tour was well organised overall, except for lack of appropriate wet suit for our 8 yr old (this was surprising given that there were only a couple of children on... More

Tour staff make or break a tour. Doesn't matter if the boat is beautiful the location stunning and the weather perfect. If the folks guiding you through the experience are not up to the task.... well the experience takes a dive. Derwent Hunter tour staff make this experience a pleasure. The sail itself in this location was wonderful. We snorkeled... More
