This was the highlight of our trip to Airlie Beach this year the day was just perfect. the crew know their stuff and have a great knowledge of the reef and it's history the skippet and his mate gave a good description of the area an a few stories of 1770 S trips to the reef and a good history... Take a trip on this boat if you fancy sailing on a tall ship and helping in the sailing and setting the rigging, the crew do all the hard work and engage a few willing volunteers to get the sails set. The trip will take you out into the whitsundays to vist a couple of reef sites to snorkel and... More

Don't miss a day tour on the Derwent Hunter if you're in Airlie beach... wow its awesome! We had a fantastic day and the crew, Josh, Paul and Nigel made our day! What they didn't know about fish is not worth knowing!... The sail was amazing, and the snorkelling was fabulous in both locations, all rounded off witha sumptuous lunch... More

We took the day trip this week. We were lucky with plenty of wind and the sails were up both directions. The snorkel locations were great. You can't help the weather so it was a bit overcast and visibility of the reef at the spit was limited. A great crew and skipper. Felt safe and in good hands. Thanks for... More

Don't miss this day tour. The Whitsunday Islands were discovered by Captain Cook in 1770 and this is the closest you will get to reliving the magic of sail on a traditionally rigged ship. The service was fun and professional from the start and we enjoyed fantastic and comfortable sailing (even though power boats were struggling in the brisk breeze).... More

there is nothing like a day under sail, this tour did not disappoint. The crew, food and knowledge was great, the spots we stopped to snorkel were breath taking. Overall the best day for me from our trip.

I travelled with my partner, we are both late 20's and had an awesome experience. The snorkelling started at Black Island, then onto Landford Island. The areas was a true gem, a true Whitsunday adventure. The food was great, plenty of seconds if you needed! the crew were friendly and included everyone even if their personal preference was not to... More

Our family had an amazing day on the Derwent Hunter! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The history of the ship is very interesting and the ship itself is gorgeous. The lunch and tea were plentiful and tasty. My son and I saw a group of turtles while we were snorkeling- amazing! Smooth sailing on the way out but it... More

The amazing design of this ship had me at first sight... This is the one, the ship to take me to my destination the Great Barrier Reef that I had always dreamed of as a little girl. The added bonus was finding out the history of this magnificent design, structure and boating genius. Most of all this atmosphere that the... More
