I went on the Derwent in December with my mother, husband and young son, a bit apprehensive as I have never been on anything with a sail before. I LOVED it- in fact, we all did. The team was so friendly and had great information about the Whitsundays and the history of the ship. What I liked most was that... More

Crew were very friendly and helpful. Informative and amusing in their talks. The 2 snorkelling stops were fun and all equipment was provided including stinger suits. Lunch was plentiful and varied enough to suit all tastes. Cakes and coffee and fruit also provided morning and afternoon.. no one went hungry on this cruise! It was very relaxing to return to... Had the best day in the Whitsundays, Jo and the crew looked after us and we also helped sail! Saw a turtle to top off the amazing day!

Had the "best day ever" yesterday when we shared a trip on the Derwent-Hunter. I am over from the UK to visit my Daughter and her partner. The boat was amazing and the crew could not have been more friendly and helpful .. I did manage to swim with a Turtle, even it was only by chance after struggling to... More

I sailed on this boat for the Whitsundays tour and had a great day. The boat is amazing, such a classic looking boat and much nicer to sail on than the standard touristy less attractive boats. I had originally been booked on another tour but it was cancelled last minute so I was upgraded to this boat at no extra... More

Fabulous day out on the DH - crew were fantastic - buffet lunch was lovely and probably the best snorkelling I have undertaken. Even swam a little ways with a gorgeous turtle. Highly recommend for an awesome day out

Overall disappointed by this experience. Called up the day prior to the tour as winds of 34kms were forecast for the day. One of the people in our group gets sea sick so tried to reschedule for another day. We were told that 24 hours notice is required for a change. That person did get sick. I have never been... More

Seems that we discovered a bad rainy day makes for an awesome smoke and sailing day out. Of course when it's raining you going to be guaranteed to get wet but who cares when your snorkelling. Now I'm not the best person in the water but this was an awesome snorkelling experience for the learner. Thankfully I had my wonderful... More

The Derwin Hunter is a historical Tall Ship from 1940. The vessel brings you to secluded beaches. Two snorkel stops . During the trip they inform you regarding the coral and the fishes. The deck is shaded, the food is good. Beer and wine availleble. Staff friendly . Good boat for kids, they can help.
