Not only did we get the iconic view from the lookout over Hill Inlet but we also did a bit of bush and beach walking as well. The added bonus was spotting two young stingrays in the shallows when we down on the beach. We did Hill Inlet as part of a full day tour (as was recommended by other... More

I was actually hesitant to write a review of Hill Inlet Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsunday Islands, Queensland because this place needs to be ecologically protected as does all of the Great Barrier Reef. Sometimes more publicity and more tourism can be a worry as far as environmental impact. This is a place I wanted to see and was lucky... More

This is one of the most amazing places I've ever seen! The transparent-turquoise water coupled with the flour-white sand - are the most perfect duet the nature created. This makes this island one of the most breathtaking places on Earth! Take lots of pictures, you'll want to see them when you return to reality :-)

Easy walk up the inlet produces the most picturesque view of sandy white beach and the most beautiful blue seas. The most beautiful view. A must see!

A mother nature painting...the hill inlet of swirling sand and tidal water is truly an amazing sight.....timing is critical as you want to see it either at low tide or half tide. Most of the aviation companies plan based on this and prebooking is essential especially on weekends. My husband and I did a 20 minute flight with GSL Aviation,... More

Having not had the most typical australian weather I was still very impressed with the views from Hill Inlet - the set up there is perfect for lots of people wanting to get a great picture. Must be seen no matter what the weather.

Excellent place to visit. The shifting white sands against blue water was a beautiful view. The view from the Lookout is spectacular.
