Spend some time swimming or sunbathing at this free to use outdoor pool. There are changing facilities and bbq areas and a large number of restaurants and cafes nearby. If you forget/finish reading your book there's even a book exchange

Nice place to relax. Have a lay in the sun read a book and go for a swim and take in the view. The sand was a bit grainy though and a little bit painful to walk on.

No one told us that we couldn't swim in the beach during the rainy season. We got here in April at the end of the rainy season. No rain for our weeks stay but we soon realized you have to wear stinger suits if you swim in the ocean. The lagoon was so refreshing and we always swam here when... More

Very well set out and as there really is no accessable beaches in Airlie this is a must especially for children , they do have life guards on duty .. Great area for lying around you also have all the cafes and a toilet block near by .

Young and old, skinny and broad, local and international people relax, read and sunbathe around this attractive swimming lagoon. It is surrounded by real grass and is located between the main street and the sea. There is a snazzy permanent outdoor metal table tennis table, children's play zone and convenient change facilities.

This area is so perfect to relax and soak up the sun right next to the beach or just soak up the atmosphere. Great to have somewhere to swim when the stingers are around. Life guards make it a safe place to swim.
