Palm Cove is a beautiful stretch of beach line near Cairnes in Northern Queensland. We have enjoyed a wonderful holiday here, and would love to return again and again. There are many hotels and shops along the front, and unfortunately it is becoming more and more built up, which is a shame because it has that paradise feel to it... More

When I saw the pictures of Palm Cove beach, I expected more! This is a simple beach, like any other one, the water was kinda dark when I was there. Def didn`t worth the 1h30 almost trip form Cairns Esplanade by bus.

We have stayed at Trinity Beach which is a few kilometers back towards Cairns and it enjoys a bit more sun however its a little steep. Palm Cove is a better option as it has more choice in terms of beach, palm trees, facilities and nearby restaurants.

The beach was always a hive of activity. It has beautiful fine white sand. There is a walking path the full length of the Palm Cove Hotel/Cafe/ Retail strip (aprox 1 km) on both side of the road. The whole length of the strip is dotted with palms and mallelucca trees which provide plenty of shade from the hot sun.... More

The view on a sunny day is so scenic and tropical. Great for a stroll along the beach or esplanade and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit too.

A popular tourist spot in Cairns Northern Beaches. Full of holiday resorts, apartments, caravan parks and people, Palm Beach offers a great tropical beach location with trendy boutiques, coffee shops, and expensive restaurants. You can stroll along the shops on one side of esplanade or walk the meandering path through the tropical gardens on the sea side. Lovely inviting beach... More

Stayed for 4 days as attending a wedding. Beach has great views across to mountains & rocky outcrops with a jetty in the main area, it is a clean beach quite pretty and kid/family friendly, it is also a dog friendly area, which can be an upside or downside depending on your point of view. There were lifeguards on duty... More

Lovely beach with lots of restaurants and shops as well as a few good health spas. Disliked the sewerage smells wafting about the Esplanard. Love the atmosphere.
