Not really a 'cove' at all, Palm Cove is a pretty open beach. No wave though. It makes for a nice morning and evening walk. Nice palm lined beach. Very exposed to wind though

A very long beach to walk along with great cafés and restaurants. Regular public transport to get into cairns just takes an hour about a lovely scenic ride

One of our favourite places to visit is PalmCove Beach. If you want great surf, big waves or enormous stretches of golden sand, then you should bypass Palm Cove. But if you want a small cosy little beach straight across the road from great restaurants, shops and cafes, this beach seems to wrap itself around you. A walk from the rocks... More

Palm Cove is not a shopping Mecca thankfully. Perfect place to enjoy a stroll along the beach, sit back and enjoy a cuppa or glass of wine. Book yourself into a day spa or book one of the many day tours. We loved the crystal waters of Green Island. Great place to recharge the batteries. Take a book!

Walked from the Palm Cove jetty to Clifton Beach and back several times during our 7 day stay - the beautiful views and lovely sand made the walk delightful. Sea wasn't cold - even in middle of winter.

The beach at Palm Cove looks beautiful - lined with palms and melaleucas - and is lovely to stroll along. The water is, like most of the beaches in this area, very murky and I wouldn't want to swim there.

One of the nicest beaches in the Cairns region. Great food and relaxation options. Bars here are a bit expensive and shops are mostly catering to 50+ shoppers. But it's a nice beach and a good place to enjoy the water and outdoors cheaply in Cairns.

Had a good time at Palm Cove Beach, but if you really want to enjoy the beach, head around the point to Ellis Beach.
