We would go for an early swim - felt safe and the beach was clear and clean. Shower facilities and drinking fountains were accessible.

A very clean and welcoming beach, with enjoyment for everyone. Part of the community as all the restaurants give on to it.

A beautiful, clean beach, well shaded in the afternoon and patrolled by life savers in a large area in the middle. Lots of different stories around town, about when to swim or not, due to stingers and crocs, so it would have been nice to have a bit more information on these.

Stingers in November, but there is a protected/netted section just opposite peppers beach club. A very pleasant place for a morning walk or a late afternoon stroll.

If you like walks you can walk... More

What a gorgeous beach with great amenities 30 seconds away. Lifeguard patrolled swimming area which means you can relax and enjoy the sea. Plenty of free parking and a walk along the jetty is a must to talk to the fishermen. Great all round beach !

There are several resorts north of Cairns and by chance we stayed in Palm Cove for two weeks. Plenty of restaurants, bars and hotels along the esplanade backing the beach. Enough to keep it busy but not that many to make it seem too commercial. The entire sea front is lined with palm trees and these form a back drop... More
