Enjoy a delicious barbeque dinner of steak, sausages and seafood with fresh garden salads followed by a dessert. Relax with a drink from our licensed bar. After dinner, our guides will provide you with a torch and lead you into the darkness to meet the creatures of the night. Learn how owls hunt, touch a possum and pat a koala. On clear nights our guides will take you star gazing. See the Southern Cross, the Big Dipper and other well known constellations.Follow our guides as they lead you safely through the crocodiles' lair. See the croc eyes glow in your torchlight. In the Aussie bush, there's always a chance you will cross paths with a "Swaggie" (an original Australian bushman). Join our hospitable Swaggie and enjoy billy tea and damper with him by the campfire. His friends, the kangaroos, will come down to say G'day and maybe even share a bite to eat! After complimentary cold beer or wine, join in the fun as our guides teach you some famous Aussie Bush Dances. Dance and sing along - it's more fun than you can imagine!

We started the night with a buffet and all included drinks. The food was lovely and the staff were all more than helpful! We then went on a tour of the zoo and you had an option to hold a koala. It was a little extra, $16 if I remember right. But it was well worth the money, as its... More

Our visit to the night zoo happened to be on a particularly rainy day - I would advise you take full wet weather gear (not umbrellas). The evening started with a 'traditional Aussie barbecue' which was quite good. The actual touring of the zoo was disappointing - kind of a production line approach where everyone is herded from one display... More

The Night Zoo was disappointing. Food was okay but they served and cleaned it up incredibly quickly. It was sweltering hot in the eating area. There was no dinner entertainment like the show they had described but they had a one man band who played quite well. The tour was disappointing. You see the male koalas and can purchase a... More

We came here about 3 years ago and it was great. Oh what a difference a pending closure makes. Do yourself a favour and don't come here. Food terrible, staff rushed you through to get more bucks. Treated like a school kid and yet called "dear" in a VERY condescending way (and by the way, I'm in my 40s!) by... More

Decided to go on a whim after a quick skim through a brochure thinking it would be about nocturnal animals doing there thing. It was not. It started with a cheap barbeque and beers with an attempt to make a weird pub setting. The actors performed well, but generally speaking if I want a meal and a few beers I... More

The zoo while small was very enjoyable. I believe they are closing the zoo soon so if you are traveling to this area you may want to check to make sure it is open.

Great time to visit. Less crowded, cool, and dinner buffet was excellent. I was mostly interested in Koalas and was able to spend plenty of time with them. Staff was very informative and made the visit a great experience.

Welcomed and met by Swaggie and drinks from the bar then to barbecue, steak, chicken, sausages, salads and followed by deserts. Then the animal experience begins just fabulous but I'm not going to spoil it for you. Then there's the music, you join in with instruments - I played the thongs - and followed by Aussie bush dances. Just so... More

Hi Jackie, really appreciate your very kind feedback on our Night Zoo. We have a great team that work together to provide what we'd like to believe is one of Cairns best night activities. Yes, after well over 20 years of providing this outstanding experience we have to finish up at the end of March next year. In a nutshell,... More
