Description: Sea kayaking is one of the best ways to explore the coastline and islands...
Sea kayaking is one of the best ways to explore the coastline and islands of tropical north Queensland. We have amazing encounters with dolphins, turtles, stingrays and other marine life while paddling around history rich Double Island. Tours are offered year-round catering equally for those seeking a peaceful paddle or a bit of adventure. Our sunrise and half-day tours run daily. Paddling techniques and safety information are clearly explained and demonstrated. Our highly stable single and double, sit on top, kayaks are well suited for beginners to experienced kayakers. Each tour visits Double Island and includes fresh fruits, sweet treats and juices. Half-day tours include snorkelling. Tours depart south of the Palm Cove Jetty. Sunrise Tour 6am-7:30am $48 per person. Half-day Tour 8:30-12:30 Adults $88 Children $68 (plus $5 reef tax and insurance fee).

We did a tour which involved kayaking over to Double Island, and then spent an hour exploring the shallows on stand up paddleboarding (SUP). We saw turtles, a small reef shark and lots of beautiful Rays and fish. The sunrise tour was simply beautiful, conditions were calm and our guide was a marine science postgrad student who shared a wealth... More

I did the sunrise guided kayak tour out to double island. I am not a morning person and love my sleep in's, but this was well worth the early morning!!! Absolutely stunning scenery, comfortable paddling pace, friendly & informative tour guide, amazing cave visit, & beautiful weather. Great for tourists & locals alike :)

I booked a half day guided kayak around Palm Cove. Brad (company owner) was kind enough to pick me up in at my accomodations in Machans Beach AND drove me back at the end of our day together! We kayaked to Scouts Hat Island, where we walked around the entire island and Brad pointed out many cool things. I was... More

Excellent half day trip over to scouts hat island and double island with Denise. She was very informative relating to the sea life and insects and creatures we encountered. She even provided a cheeky cookie and fruit when we stopped at a secluded beach. Do this guided tour and you will not be disappointed. Well worth the money. This business... More

Brad took us out in a little canoe Kindly showed us all the right things to do (Really called a kayak, not to waste your time But canoe is the easier word to rhyme. Brad had the skills, the knowledge and the laughs Very thorough guide, nothing’s done by halves Helpful to the last with info and snacks Ready with... More

My partner and I booked a kayak sunrise tour over phone a few days prior. We were pleasantly surprised to find we were the only people on this tour and had our friendly, knowledgable and bubbly guide Denise to ourselves. Myself and my partner would highly recommend this tour to anybody looking for an informative and intimate experience. We are... More

My husband and I scheduled a paddle board trip to Double Island and picked this operator because they are down by the jetty and closest to Double Island (more time to explore and less time paddling out there). We had never been on paddleboards and after a short lesson I got right up but my husband chose a kayak instead... More

Absolutely great! I had a great time with my mate snorkelling and kayaking around Double island and Scouts Hat. It's just a prime example of someone who really knows what they are doing, doing what they love. Leaving reviews isn't something that I would normally do but I just had to find the time for this guy. There isn't anything... More
