I was able to see a Cassamerry, the third largest flightless bird. Its endanged, only about 60 in the wild. I also saw two different types of Crocs, fresh and salt water ones. One fiesty one had had to be moved from the wild because it was getting too bold and a danger to the public. The zoo put on a...

We enjoyed our stroll around this little zoo, even without children in tow. The entrance price was reasonable and includes some shows such as the crocodiles, ( which we very much enjoyed), and a birds of prey show. We opted to pay the extra $18 to have my photo taken with a koala, which makes a nice keepsake of our...

Beautiful food with the natural tropical feel of Cairns. We were greeted at the front desk by Anna who had prepared a fantastic morning for us. Then on to see the wildlife shows and spend a couple of hours to watch all of the birds and animals. The bird show was the best only to find that their final cast...

I did it with a friend during a rainy day. And actually It was not a good idea most of show were cancelled. The zoo is easy find and easy to walk inside. When you purchase ticket you get free entry for the next 2 days. 3 hours in my opinion is enough to see everything including shows.
Thanks for your review. On this particular day from my recollection a Tropical Cyclone had previously crossed the Cape York Peninsula and turned into a rain depression. As the Cyclone breaks up they turn into mini storms which can have very strong winds and blocks of heavy rain. On this day, as per our animal welfare policy, our keepers made...

It started raining pritty bad just as i got into the zoo so wasn't able to enjoy it fully. And the shows couldn't be done properly (mainly bird show they ended up just walking around the group with two birds instead of doing a flight show) and they were doing maintenance to a lot of the croc and snake exhibits...

Thanks for your review. We were all very happy to see the rain as we've had the least rainfall in 70 years in the Cairns area this season. It just happened to turn up on the day you came!! As with all successful Zoos we have been upgrading our exhibits to put more new and exciting displays in so our...

Great morning starting off with breakfast with a koala. Plenty to eat! The grounds are beautiful an the animals all seemed happy and well cared for. The staff were great and the animal shows were both entertaining and educational.
