We're not usually "zoo people," but had a day to kill some time and decided to check it out. We really enjoyed seeing all of the Australian animals that you hear so much about but rarely ever see in real life. Also, we enjoyed their 'hands-on' approach to presenting the animals. It costs extra, but cuddling a Koala is just... More

There's not a lot to see here. It's very small and shabby (other than the croc area). There are only a few enclosures with labels on and hardly any info about the animals. It's certainly no better than the little 'zoo' in Karunda. We could have spent just an hour or so here but hung around for the croc &... More

After a great breakfast at Ellis beach we were looking forward to a full day at the zoo. The day was not at all full and after an hour and a half we were ready to leave. The zoo itself lacked character and the wow factor we hoped we would get from a 'tropical zoo'. Charging $35 p/p is ridiculous... More

Lovely small zoo, not too crowded, with shows on throughout the day. Here, you can see all those animals you have not seen in the wild around Queensland!

Very interactive which kept my busy kids fully engaged. Plus the staff and the animal habitats were top class. Kids got a real kick from feeding the kangaroos & wallabies in the open enclosure, we loved the free-flight aviaries & we even got wet when the big 'Saltie' crocodile flicked his tail during the feeding show. Lots to look at and great fun for kids. Slightly expensive however you get a 3 day return pass. Nice food.

One of the best things about this Zoo is the "Shows" especially the Bird Show and Feeding the Crocodiles . The other good family thing is interaction with the Kangaroos and Wallabies - bags of pellets can be bought at reception for $2 and the Roo's come real close for their treats :-)

This is the only zoo we've been to that offers an opportunity to get up close to the animals and capture some amazing pictures. Definitely worth every penny! This was an unforgettable experience.

Wow what a great complement from someone from San Deigo home to one of the world's best Zoos. We are getting rave reviews for our private Zootastic 5 tour and the positive feedback is a wonderful confirmation that it is what people are looking for these days. Warm regards, Angela More

We visited for breakfast to celebrate our anniversary as something different and had a lovely time. From meeting the Koala at breakfast to the bird show every staff member we met was very knowledgeable and approachable. The Zoo was tidy and all the animals seemed to be well cared for. We spent half a day at the Zoo after breakfast... More

This is a really great small zoo. The Koala encounter was very fun. It's quick but extremely well organized. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. You can feed the kangaroos and wallabies and get up close and personal with them. We later in our trip went to Taranga zoo in Sydney, and while they have more comprehensive animals, and platypuses,... More

Thanks so much for this great feedback and this is high praise indeed considering you also went to Taronga which is one of the great Zoos to see. We find many visitors go to more than one Zoo while in Australia so we will look at seeing if we can get a joint or loyalty pass going with some of... More
