We have visited many zoos around the world. This was so clean. The bird show was exceptional. It's obvious the staff take great care of the facility and the animals. I would recommend everyone visit this zoo.

This small zoo highlights the Australian animals you want to see. The staff is like a family with one another and with the animals. They took good care of us on a day when a number of things had gone wrong before arriving there. Breakfast with the Koala was the highlight of the day. (Being there in November helped because... The zoo was quite untidy. Very few animals, particularly in the small enclosures couldn't be seen. Several paths were rough and uneven to walk on. Signposting wasn't clear. We arrived at about 1.30pm and the canteen/cafe was closing. Very disappointed.

We had a wonderful time at this zoo. Lots of shows as well as opportunities to interact with many of the animals - the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate. We loved being able to hang out with and feed the kangaroos, cuddle a koala, etc! The zoo encourages close interaction with the animals as they believe this will... More

Great place to get up close with Aussie animals, never too crowded but a little "tired" in places (a leaf-blower and pressure washer are seriously needed). And a trip to the restrooms is like stepping back in time.

I took my grandkids and they had a wonderful time. As a relatively new resident in Cairns I had driven past this place many times and had no idea how great it is. I am buying the kids an annual membership for Christmas so we can go whenever we like.

I was a bit skeptical of this zoo as it looked small and a bit rural from the outside. We had booked this as part of a multi day tour and I was worried that when we were dropped off we would be waiting around for hours for out van to pick us up. I was wrong! There is so... More

The structure of the zoo allows visitors to get excellent close up photos of the animals. The free flight bird show is excellent. Make sure to wear a hat, it gets hot!

Its a great small Zoo with lots of Australian animals like Birds, Dingos,Wombats,...and much more . Also with a great free flight Bird show. The Snake show is amazing and it gives you lots of info about these Critters. Also we liked the Croc feeding show. You can cuddle and feed the Roo`s, but save your money for the food,... More

All the attractions lived up to our expectations especially the boat trip. The guide, Duncan, was excellent. We spent 3 afternoons here all included in admission fee which is good value for money.
