A great park with something for everyone, haven't been here in years and such a shame that it's closing soon. A true gem in the north with big park activities but that small family run feel still around thee exhibits and shows. Well done everyone and thank you

Enjoyed our time here. Not a huge zoo, can easily be done in a few hours. The talks were all good in the morning, especially the bird one. The swooping owl (watch your head!) and the majestic eagle were both spectacular to watch.

Wife got to hold a Koala. Got to see a large crocodile being fed. Saw some of Australia's most venomous snakes being handled.

As lovers of zoos, my husband and I have been to many. However, Cairns Tropical Zoo will always be one of the best. The zoo has a programme of talks for visitors to go to and they were all worth the time. We attended all of the talks and all the zoo keepers were very knowledgeable, friendly, happy to answer... We arrived at the zoo,the entry and reception was good,we went into kangaroos and wallaby enclosure, it was alright, you had to watch yourself walking around very un even surface,if you you in a wheelchair, or ihad a moonboot on, you had to watch yourself, we went to see the crocodiles and half of them had gone, and if you wanted... I live in San Diego, California, home of the world famous San Diego zoo, so I didn't really think I would be too impressed with a small little zoo like this, but I was wrong. We purchased the tour where they take you around to meet the animals and it was awesome. I got to feed a cassowary, handle a... More

We really enjoyed our visit here, all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. It is not a big zoo but has most of the animals that you hope to see in Australia. We fed kangaroos , had pictures taken with koalas and one brave member of the party held a snake . The kookaburras laughed at us !... More

We were staying right on the esplanade in cairns and found it incredibly easy to get to the zoo! 2 min walk to the bus stop followed by a 30min ride on the local bus to palm cove easy and cheap and you get to have a nosey around the different areas in cairns on the way. The zoo was... More

This was a terrific introduction to the animal life in Australia. We saw kangaroos, wallabys, koalas cassawaries and beautiful birds up close. We loved the flight show, too. A great place to take children.

The day I was there it was good weather and I get my time to do the round trip in this zoo, where everything was amazing and I find it a cool place to be when I was there.
