I learnt why they breed and harvest crocodiles there. The shows were great and very informative. Travelling from Cairns city it is about 40 minutes drive and easy to find well signed. The staff there are very friendly and it is kept very clean. I think it is a great place for children to learn about crocodiles if they haven't... More

great place for adults or kids! Had a great time here regardless of cyclone Nathan knocking on the Queensland door! All talks were very interesting and funny except the very sexist guy doing the croc farm talk, bit of a knob to be honest! Apart from that all staff really friendly and informative, great shows and great exhibits. Definitely worth... More

We came here with friends from overseas expecting mainly crocodiles but were pleasantly surprised by the other attractions and animals offered. What I thought would be a 2 hour visit ended up being an all day trip! The staff were passionate and engaging and it was fascinating to see inside the crocodile farm and get up so close to these... We were hesitant in booking Hartley's as, whilst we are not really animal people, we do not like animals being made to do "tricks". However, at Hartley's we had the best of days. Yes, crocodiles snap when they are fed but there was no abuse or unreasonable taunting. A quiet walk around the pools found crocodiles at every turn. Wow.... More

We recently visited with my husband, 11yo, 13yo children and my parents. It was a great day out with alot of value for the entry fee. We loved the boat ride through the river and the tour guides were very funny, approachable blokes. The farming of the crocodiles was very informative and interesting. The best part for me was the... This is our second trip to hartleys. The highlight of the trip is the croc attack show, the presenter had been working with the croc for years. Very entertaining yet educational and teaching people to have respect for the animals. I highly recommend a trip out there.

There is loads to see and do during the day, the croc boat ride was really good and included in the price of your ticket. The tours are really interesting and the keeps know their stuff - we especially liked the croc attack show which looked pretty hairy for the tour guide! The wallabies and quolls are very cute too... Hartley's is a relaxed, informative park - you can come (safely) very up close and personal with the resident animals. Keepers are knowledgeable and entertaining. Animals seem well cared for and happy. Bushland setting is comfortable and well maintained. Well worth the entry fee, particularly as you can return for two more consecutive days. A must-do tourist activity!

Struggled the whole day with the blokey, bogan nature of this place. Far bit of ego involved here with male keepers picking most dangerous reptiles to work with, biggest crocs to entice etc. Snake presenter on this day made a few choices that I think were unwise, inappropriate and possibly counter-productive. Asked the crowd who was uncomfortable about snakes and... More
